Wedding Albums

Hi

Could you please tell me how long you've had to wait for your wedding album?

It's been 8 weeks since my photo viewing and I've been told it'll be at least another week. We were originally told 7 weeks which I thought was a long time but now to have to wait at least 9 weeks seems excessive to me. Is it?

Thanks, Gill

    Hi

Does that include the album design time or did you view the design at your photo viewing?

Also is it a digital print album or a matted album that you're going for? Matted albums tend to take longer to produce as they're hand finished. Digital albums tend not to take that long, although I have heard that Graphistudio albums can take 6-8 weeks to come back.

I would say 9 weeks is excessive if it's just the album being produced in this time, but if it also includes the design then it's not too bad really.

To keep it in perspective, wedding dresses often take a long long time although they are mainly produced from a known pattern. A wedding album on the other hand done well is made bespoke to you. They are not always quick to do......I am sure that you will love the result though....I do understand why you want it quickly.....

A wedding album should be built and designed with care and as a unique individual item and as such cannot be rushed. 9 weeks will not be the actual building time but will also be time waiting for components and or photographs to come back. I do appreciate it when my Bride and grooms are patient and give me time and space to create exactly what they want. I'm sure that you wouldn't want your photographer to rush it and just "knock it out" conveyer belt style

We have been told 8 weeks, we have been given a CD of all the pictures already. Our photographer has been fantastic so I think 8 weeks would be about right.

How is your communication with the photographer?

What makes you nervous, do you find it hard to contact and get a reasonable answer to your questions. Feel rushed and as if once the wedding is done you need to stop disturbing the person/s.

As pointed out, most photographers really rely on making sure you have a fantastic experience (so you recommend the photographer to people you know).

Hi- I guess you have already selected the photos for your album? You need to factor in the design time for your photographers and then the production time for the album itself, so I would say a minimum of 5 weeks if your photographers are using a UK based supplier- if they are using someone like Jorgensen or Queensbury then you could be looking at a 2-3 month turnaround time in total... so I don't think 8 weeks is excessive Smiley smile

I think you must contact with good service provider who can provide you album within one week. My friend had also faced such problem then she took help of trusted provider of UK. I'll tell you after confirmation. ?

Well we have been waiting for 6 months for one reason and another, so I wouldn't worry just yet!

Depending on where he is sourcing the album from this sounds about right!! Some italian leather ones can take ages ;-)
