We got married here in November - honestly we had our hearts set on this venue since the moment we got engaged and never felt the need to look anywhere else. From the initial meeting, through setting up the venue and the wedding itself, and even picking up our bits and bobs the next day, the staff at the Savoy Cinema were exceptional and the venue was absolutely lovely. Perfectly non traditional and obviously a great fit for movie lovers. The staff went out for their way to help us organise the day we wanted, from technically supporting us with our movie quiz and custom movie posters, to our attempts at running a few rounds of task master, our ceilidh band/dancing and finally even popping a film (silent with subtitles) on the big screen throughout the evening disco for those who'd run out of energy but weren't ready to call it a night quite yet. Everyone can't stop talking about how much fun they had and we especially, won't forget the incredible day we had. This venue was 100% the right decisions and we gave no regrets at all. We married here last June and they handled everything I wanted perfectly, the bar prices are better than a pub and they catered to every whim I had. They did a fabulous job on the day.

My wife and I had our wedding at the hotel in the Regis suite. Our original venue had issues which meant cancelling 5 weeks before which was immensely stressful but the Alma Lodge were able to accommodate us at such short notice. The venue was amazing and the food was incredible. The hotel gave a complimentary room not only the night of, but also the night before, plus many of our guests were also able to stay. All of our guests complimented the venue itself, the food and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The bridal suite was perfect for the bride, and all the bridesmaids giving them somewhere secluded to prepare for the day. All the staff were incredibly helpful leading up to the wedding, the night prior when we were decorating and the day of the wedding and were there for everything we needed. They took care of everything throughout and were so kind in their comments to myself, my wife, family and guests. I would 100% recommend the Alma Lodge to anyone wanting to hold an event or staying there. Thank you so much to all the staff, you helped give us the wedding of our dreams 😊

I can’t put into words how amazing the place is and the lovely people that run it and make your wedding day perfect. Mark & Deb are lovely, helpful and very caring people that went above and beyond to make our wedding so special. They made us feel so welcome and I couldn’t recommend the venue enough. All our guests having been raving about how amazing the place and the people are. I want to do it all over again already. Thanks so much Mark, Deb, Chantelle and all the stables staff 🫶🏻 xxx

We loved Grub so much we planned our wedding a year earlier than intended to make sure we could use them! After getting engaged at Christmas 2023 we went to a wedding fayre at Grub in January 2024 and immediately fell in love with the place. At the time they weren't booking weddings beyond 2024 so after a quick discussion, my partner and I took the plunge and grabbed a date in July before it was gone! It was absolutely the best decision we could have made. Working with Caro and Grub was such a smooth process and they were always available for questions or advice. It's such a cool venue with oodles of personality and colours with super fun graphic photo spots! All of our guests absolutely loved the relaxed vibe and all the staff looked after us so well. Huge thanks especially go to Caro however who made our day go so smoothly, they were always there to grab us a prosecco, check in with us and keep us on schedule. We had several dietary requirements as well as a lot of kids and the team were so accommodating and made all the kids feel so welcome! I've seen they are now taking bookings for 2025 and we'd recommend you get in quick! 💙

The wedding team and hotel staff couldn’t do enough for us from start to finish everything was amazing. The food tasting day and the food on the day was fantastic. Everyone complimented it. The whole venue is stunning we couldn't have picked a better venue! It was the best day ever!!

We booked our wedding reception at the Old School Rooms. Trish and Dave were fab from the get go. Easily contactable and happy to help with everything. The wedding day ran beautifully, the whole team of staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Food was perfect , had lots of good feedback around the menu choices. Couldn’t have asked for more from this venue and the staff, the venue is stunning and is a little hidden gem in middleton.

The whole day was just amazing the staff are so helpful and absolutely thrive on making sure you have the best day ever The venue is stunning and the food was superb we want to do it all over again It was just perfect

Gemma made everything so easy , we have never been involved in organising a wedding. Gemma was so helpful. The day went brilliantly and the food was gorgeous. I honestly couldn't have wished for more.

Compliments to all staff, very professional, flexible and keen to details. Together they all did a great job especially room service team who set my room so well. Food was great in adequate amount. DJ was nice and played exactly what we wanted. All in all everything was great. Only thing I would fault is the bride welcoming song was so low in tone, I couldn't even hear it but that's a bit minor I guess. Otherwise they pleased my heart. Great value for money and great staff. Must say thank you to my two dedicated wedding coordinator/planner you was pitched perfect.
