The Barn at Avington and Beth made our dreams come true, what more could you want!! My husband and I (!!) loved every second of our wedding day surrounded by the most beautiful countryside with several amazing photo spots, Beth and her incredible support and the ability to truly make the space in and surrounding the barn reflect our vision. We would highly recommend the barn for your wedding.

My Husband and I cannot thank The Winchester Hotel and Spa enough for our amazing wedding weekend! We had our wedding booked for 2021 originally and had to postpone due to Covid. Sally was so incredibly helpful at this time, pushing it back a whole year for us so that we'd be as in the clear as possible and providing lots of reassurance at this stressful time! From then we got in touch with Anita who was wonderful throughout the whole wedding planning process. No question we had was too small and no request we had was too much of an ask, she has worked so hard for us and made every little bit of our day incredible! We were at the hotel from Friday to Sunday with our guests for our Saturday wedding. The hotel allowed us to have a private dinner with our guests on the Friday evening and were amazing at organising this for us, as well as a private breakfast on the Sunday morning. Everyone from the restaurant and bar staff, the cleaners and the reception staff all bent over backwards to make our weekend incredible and were all so friendly and helpful. Also I cannot recommend enough to attend one of their wedding fairs if you get married here! We met most of our suppliers at one of their wedding fairs and they were all incredible too! Thank you to everyone at The Winchester Hotel and Spa!

A beautiful venue for a wedding where the staff are friendly and professional. The help, advice and communication were excellent during the planning process. Nothing was too much trouble. They were proactive, calm and helpful on the day and the setting is idyllic. Live streaming, to those who couldn’t attend, was excellent and provided a lovely recording of the ceremony. The central Winchester location and car park over the road were great for visiting guests. Many visited for the weekend staying in the plentiful nearly hotels (to meet different budgets).

We were so impressed with the venue on the day. All the staff were so friendly and approachable. The food was fantastic! We found that everything went very smoothly and if there were any problems (which there weren't!), we felt that we could easily approach a member of staff and ask. Harvey and I are very grateful for your help in organising. You're brilliant at your job and made us feel at ease with everything that was planned! If there are any awards for the University of Winchester staff or for wedding venue coordinators, we would happily nominate you!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the team at Hotel du Vin, Winchester. We had a fantastic Wedding day on May 23rd. Your planning was brilliant and it all come together perfectly on the day. Absolutely seamless. We will be back for our 1st Wedding anniversary! Thank you once again.

Please pass on my thanks to the Manager and staff. Nothing was too much trouble for our reception. The Guildhall has many different rooms to chosoe from and we changed our plans to have our civil ceromony followed by the wedding breakfast in one venue and I cannot fault the whole day. Everything that a girl could wish for! Service and food were excellent - THANK YOU.

When we went to meet the Manager (Mr Richardson) I was a bit concerned as the building is so modern from the outside and personally I don't think it is very attractive but the restaurant where our wedding will take place is beautiful and all the windows down one wall overlook Winchester Cathedral. I wanted somewhere central so that people could make a weekend of it as many are travelling so far. The Manager is very helpful, very polite and very interested in the wedding and couldnt stress enough how important it was that we had what WE wanted and that they would work round us. Added bonus - can have wedding photos taken in the grounds of the Cathedral (subject to permission being granted for your chosen date). Would definitely recommend it - also good room rate for wedding guests.
