Becky Miskimmin is the creator and writer behind @Bridesbythesea_NI - an Instagram account dedicated to her (and her partner’s) experience of planning a wedding as part of a same sex couple in Northern Ireland. She’s written a column for Confetti about her experiences planning a wedding as part of a lesbian couple, and more recently has written features for Hitched.co.uk, including breaking down the impact of the first female same sex wedding to be shown in a TV series. Becky has recently launched ‘The Wedvolution’ - a project she is running with wedding celebrant Laura Fitzsimons, which they’ve created to tackle the issues the LGBTQ+ community faces during wedding planning in Northern Ireland.
