Lydia has been in the journalism industry for the last seven years, specializing in beauty and wellness. She has always had a passion for weddings since doing work experience in a local wedding dress shop during school. She was previously beauty and wellness writer and HELLO! Magazine and HELLO! Lydia's Experience

Lydia began her career at Professional Beauty magazine after graduating from a degree in multi-media journalism at Bournemouth University. She soon developed a passion for beauty and wellness and continued to develop her expertise in the beauty and wellness industry over the last several years. Interviewing celebrities and experts alike she soon became an expert on helping people look and feel their best.

Having spent the last 3 years writing for consumers at HELLO! and HELLO! Fashion she is excited to her apply her knowledge to weddings, working alongside brands and make-up artists to help couples look as good as they feel on their big day.

Lydia's Areas of Expertise:

Having worked in the beauty industry for most of her career Lydia has a passion for fragrances, makeup, grooming and everything in between. While she enjoys writing about all aspects of the wedding journey you'll find her testing out the best lipsticks that won't budge or discovering the top places to relax with your wedding crew before your big day.

Lydia's Favourite Thing About Weddings:

One of Lydia's favourite things about weddings is the speeches. In her opinion it's the personal touches that really make a wedding special and sometimes that means breaking away from tradition. Perhaps it's a couple that do a first song together instead of a first dance or wedding favors that hold a personal memory for the couple - the more unique the better!

Lydia's Best Piece of Wedding Advice:

Enjoy every moment! Sometimes we can get so caught up in the destination, we don't enjoy the journey. Yes, your wedding day will be one of the best days of your life but the lead up should be just as memorable. Try and manage your stress levels and make the most of the planning process.
