When you access your Budget Planner you'll notice that we've gone ahead and filled in most of the budget items for you. This gives you a solid foundation to begin. So, now what should you do? Depending on how many guests you've decided to invite and the type of wedding you want, you should have a pretty good idea of your overall wedding budget. Based on that you can allocate your budget into the categories we've prepared for you. You'll notice that the categories are listed in order or priority, so you can begin to revise the expenses listed in each category. Now you're ready to personalise your budget!

Can I personalise my budget?
Yes, completely. By now you should have an idea of your guest list size, so this should help you determine whether the default budget we've included for each item makes sense for your wedding. You can click directly into each amount to adapt it accordingly, include the estimate, final cost and amount paid, when the time comes. To further personalise your Budget Planner, you can add new categories and expenses or remove existing ones.

One of the most important budget items for your wedding is the reception. You may need a caterer or open bar and perhaps furniture or marquee rental as well. The menu per person is another big expense to keep in mind. Other important budget items to consider are your wedding dress or suit, the music, photos and video.
