AOC Bridal Hair and Makeup is a multi award winning wedding hair and makeup service based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Andrea O'Connor is a talented makeup artist known for her warmth and professionalism. She uses high-end skincare and makeup products for a luxury beauty experience, and she would love to help you achieve a naturally radiant look that lasts all day and night. From 2025, Andrea will also be offering hair styling as part of her service.

Services Offered

AOC Bridal Hair and Makeup is available for weddings throughout Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. Andrea offers packages to suit any budget. You will receive a detailed pre-wedding skincare guide when your booking is confirmed. Trials are available for you and members of your wedding party. These generally take place eight weeks before your big day. Andrea will also keep in regular contact with you in the lead up to your wedding. On the day of your celebration, you will find Andrea organised, flexible, friendly, and ready to support you and your suppliers to ensure that everything goes smoothly and according to plan.

Trial hair and makeup before the wedding, wedding hair and makeup with custom made lashes, touch up kit, luxury face masks, skincare guide, wedding party makeup

How far in advance should I contact you?

As early as you can! Ideally at least six months, but sometimes I do have availability closer to the date

Do you work at homes?

Yes

What is the charge for travelling?

This depends on the package you choose- the most popular package is free for the first 15 miles outside EH1, 45p a mile after that. More details on my website

What is your main business area?

Make up

Could you stay with the bride until the photo shoot?

Yes

How many people can you beautify for one wedding?

I do not have a maximum, but I may need to bring an assistant with me if the group is larger than 6 (or 3 for both hair and makeup)

Can you provide your beauty services for pre-wedding and post-wedding photography?

Yes

What are the forms of payment?

Bank transfer or Stripe payment via. my website

Beautiful makeup

Andrea was so helpful and wonderful throughout the entire process! From initial contact to my trial and through to the wedding day she made myself and my bridal party so comfortable and allowed us to enjoy our day. My makeup was beautiful, it lasted throughout a whole busy wedding day and looked fantastic on photographs. I would wholeheartedly recommend Andrea for any bride wanting beautiful makeup on their wedding day!

Beautiful makeup for me and my bridal party!

I left it quite last-minute to organise a makeup artist for my wedding, so I was really relieved when Andrea said she could do it. She was super responsive and helpful throughout the process, agreed to do a virtual consultation (as I live far away!) and answered all of my questions. She did makeup on the morning of the wedding for me, my three bridesmaids, mother of the bride and mother of the groom. She listened and adapted to each person’s needs and preferences, and we all ended up really happy and feeling beautiful for the whole day!

Superbly talented bridal makeup artist, highly recommend.

Relaxed & calming, any bride can expect to have their expectations exceeded and be safe in the hands of a highly skilled and talented professional bridal makeup artist.
AOC Bridal helped to create the most special wedding day for me, with the excellent hair and makeup service provided.
From the two hour makeup trial, to the in depth consultation. The preparation during the day itself was calming and I felt very confident with Andrea's expertise.
Whether you want to achieve a very natural look or something slightly more dramatic, I could not recommend AOC Bridal Makeup artist highly enough.

Natural Wedding Makeup

Andrea was fantastic! From the make-up trial to the wedding day, the whole experience was great! Andrea is friendly, professional and listened to my vision, she was happy to tweak anything. It was important to me we all looked natural and she made us feel beautiful! Would highly recommend Andrea for your wedding!

Talented, calm and professional

Andrea was so amazing with my bridal party and tailored the makeup to everyone's individual preferences and styles. She succeeded where no MUA has succeeded before in finding false eyelashes that work for my dear old mum! She worked tirelessly and calmly amidst the chaos of the morning like a true professional. Thanks again Andrea for a great job, everyone was blown away with their makeup :)

Andrea is amazing!

I couldn't recommend Andrea more - she delivered beautiful make up for myself, my bridesmaids and my mum on our wedding day. Everyone was thrilled with how they looked! Absolutely the best in her profession! Andrea taken everything I asked for and made even more amazing. I cannot recommend this lady.

Andrea made me feel so confident and beautiful on our day and made my happiness shine through the whole day. Everyone commented on how beautiful my makeup looked and it didn’t hide who I was. She made my bridesmaids feel so special and definitely fitted into the morning vibe.

I honestly thought I wouldn’t be a beautiful bride but on our day I truly felt like one so thank you so much Andrea xx

Absolutely amazing make up artiest

Andrea is absolutely amazing. I don't know what else to say other than that. From someone who doesn’t wear a lot of make up I was nervous about getting the right look but Andrea knew exactly what I wanted after listening to my ideas and got it absolutely right on the day, I felt amazing. She also gave me really useful advice leading up to the wedding and for general skin care after. I would recommend Andrea to anybody getting married - she's brilliant.

Lovely person, amazing makeup. You won’t be disappointed.

Andrea was perfect. I’d admit to being a demanding bride 😅 and Andrea was so lovely, professional and addressed every concern I had.
I absolutely loved my make up and it stayed in place beautiful even on one of the hottest days of the year and a lot of dancing.

The skin care guide changed my skin- I’ve been on antibiotics for years, using some of the recommended products meant my skin was the best it’s been in years.

I would highly recommend Andrea!!

Friendly and customer focused wedding makeup service.

Andrea created a very relaxed atmosphere and did an amazing job at creating a natural and long lasting look. We all got lots of compliments on our makeup. Nothing felt rushed and she really flexed to our needs which was important to me as none of us wear much make up. The touch up bag had lovely contents in too.

I’d definitely recommend Andrea for your wedding makeup.

Andrea is the BEST makeup artist ever!!!

Andrea literally worked her magic on my face for my wedding! I’ve never felt so beautiful and pretty and I had countless compliments on how gorgeous I looked. She made my face and skin look flawless and the makeup was natural looking! She also did my 4 sisters’ makeup and they all looked so gorgeous too and all our makeup stayed perfect throughout the whole day and night. She really is amazing and I cannot recommend her enough - she is the best makeup artist I’ve ever had. Thank you SO much Andrea! Xx
