Experience
Gemma has over 20 years of experience to her name. Her career began at the renowned Greasepaint - International School of Television, Film, and Theatre in London. It was here where Gemma honed her natural talents and developed more professional techniques. Since then, this artist has had the honour of working on several television stations and shows. This includes Sky TV,The Gadget Show, BTSport, Lion TV, Bloomberg News, The Alan Titmarsh Show, and more. Gemma has also worked with the prestigious Birmingham Hippodrome, The CommonWealth Games Handover, London Film, BBC Film and a variety more of special projects. It’s these experiences that enable Gemma to combine her skills with your visions to create stunning hair and makeup looks.
Services Offered
Before your big day arrives, Make-up and Hair By Gemma recommend taking part in beauty trials at least one month prior to walking down the aisle. You and your entire wedding party can take part in these exciting trials. Gemma only uses top-of-the-range products to ensure the best look possible. She will experiment with a range of styles until you’re completely satisfied with your personalised design. On the day of your wedding, Gemma will flawlessly re-apply your styles as you look forward to the celebrations to come.

What is included in the wedding package?
I offer full Bridal make-up application with a consultation and trial. Individual lash extensions or strip lashes (Tatti lashes) Hair styling consultation and full trial. Hair extension application
How far in advance should I contact you?
I recommend to book 12 months before your wedding date to avoid an disappointment
Do you work at homes?
Yes
What is the charge for travelling?
First 30 miles within the west Midlands region are free - I charge 45 pence per mile there after also any other charges for parking or restrictions etc... may apply

How many people can you beautify for one wedding?
I can Beautify up to 10 people. Any extra people I can arrange for another artist to work with me

The perfect start to the day
Gemma made me feel amazing from trial to aisle. She listened to what I liked, paid attention to my skin and hair needs, offered her expertise to support my decision making and was so easy to get along with. She made me and my mum feel a million dollars, helping calm our nerves for the day and ensured we were picture perfect. I’m looking for an excuse to get my hair and make up done again by Gemma. because I’ve never felt so fabulous! 1000000% recommend.

Wedding day make up
Gemma did my make up and hair, my 4 bridesmaids and flower girls hair for my wedding day. She was on time and did a fantastic job of all make up and hair. Gemma is very friendly and was quickly able to tell what would suit each person in terms of colour and hairstyle. You were incredible Gemma thank you, my bridesmaids were also so pleased with their hair and make up. I would 1000% recommend Gemma to any bride and bridal party.

Gemma did my hair and makeup for my wedding on November 3rd. She took the time to talk to me about what I wanted and how we could make it all work. I have very fine, jaw length hair that it always a bright colour, she colour matched extensions for me perfectly. I gave her a brief of dark and witchy, which she absolutely smashed! She was incredibly flexible and was even willing to change plans, travel and get me ready in a tiny room with 1 socket when our plans had to change last minute. Highly recommended 🖤

Gemma is the best
I couldn’t have been happier with my hair and make-up on my wedding day - I felt beautiful. Gemma is so warm and professional, and she completely understood what I wanted from the beginning when I talked it through with her and showed her some inspiration photos.
On the wedding day itself, Gemma helped me stay calm as we all got ready, and the make-up and hair lasted all day. I would recommend her to anyone, she’s so lovely.

Wedding up-do with Gemma
I visited Gemma at her salon near Birmingham beforehand for a hair trial - it was obvious from the beginning that she was very experienced in her trade! She listened to what I wanted and quickly honed down on the style I was after for my wedding day.
She was bang on time on the day and worked quickly and efficiently to reproduce my hairstyle. She also placed my chosen hairpiece and my veil. Not only did it look lovely but it stayed in all day despite some very vigorous dancing!!
Would definitely recommend Gemma.

Gemma is simply fantastic.
I was so worried about my make up, as I have rosacea and had a flare up the day before the wedding.
My make, 4 bridesmaid's make up, my mum's make up too, and all our hair was perfect. It lasted all day and into the night.
Gemma work with speed but nothing is missed.
If you are getting married and need someone who can make your day perfect and out your mind at ease, then please hire Gemma!

Wonderfully done
I had no real idea exactly what I wanted as I rarely wear make up and wanted to keep things simple but for it to look great in the photos. Gemma came up with a great look which lasted all day and didn't require any touch ups (aside from the lips). I was very happy with both the hair and make up and would recommend her services to anyone.

Incredible Experience!
Gemma is such an amazing woman. I got married on Friday in Stratford upon Avon. Gemma arrived on time and fully prepared for all our different tastes in hair and make up.
She completely put me at ease during the whole morning and made everyone so comfortable.
The bridal party and myself got everything we could ask for and more. Everyone looked incredible and the hair/make up lasted all day.

Amazing hair and makeup artist!
Gemma did my hair and make-up for my wedding at the end of July and I cannot recommend her enough. As someone who doesn't wear much make-up on a day to day basis, I wanted a very natural look for my wedding day. Gemma soon eased my nerves at my trial and created the look I was hoping for. She took the time to try out styles for my hair and we both agreed that having my hair all up suited me best.
On my wedding day itself, Gemma arrived ahead of the bridal party at our venue to set up and was ready and waiting when we arrived. Her relaxed but professional approach, kept nerves at bay as she got to work on not only my hair and makeup but three bridesmaids as well. I was over the moon with the finished look and felt amazing all day. I cannot thank Gemma enough and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a bridal hair and makeup artist.

First class hair and make up :)
Gemma set up a trial prior to the wedding - following this, Gemma listened to all my thoughts ahead of the wedd day.
On the day Gemma arrived early - she set up and was ready to go! She did hair and make for my 2 maid of honours plus myself, all of us were happy with hair and makeup.
I can't Thank Gemma enough as I looked natural, just as I wanted.

Beautiful and elegant look
Gemma did my hair and makeup for my civil wedding and Indian wedding. Gemma listened to what I wanted and gave me an elegant and natural glow for both of my big days. Thoroughly recommend Gemma for such events!
