I was so glad to have gone with Janet for my and my bridal party’s make-up and hair. I love that her central ethos is on enhancing natural beauty. I don’t wear makeup normally, and I still wanted to look like me on my wedding day. She understood what I wanted, and I was really pleased with the flawless natural look and received many compliments!
Being able to go with someone that does both hair and make up felt so much easier too. The trial was valuable for both meeting Janet and of course being clear on what the vision is. Janet is a lovely person who is attentive and uses her vast knowledge and experience to deliver your vision.
On the day, I was a little stressed with the rain and logistics, Janet was a calming influence who worked away despite the slight frantic room with my sisters and mum. My mum and sisters are like me and went for the natural look. Janet and her support (I don’t remember her name, but she was also lovely!) were flexible and were keen to understand my mum’s and sister’s slight differences in what they wanted. For example, my sisters (my bride’s maids) were in different colour dresses with different skin tones with different ways they wanted their hair done.
All in all, Janet and her team were a perfect choice for us. We were all so pleased with our hair and makeup, and received many compliments and are looking forward to the professional photos.

I contacted Janet after my original makeup artist let me down a few months before my wedding and I am so glad things turned out the way they did. I wanted a natural look as I’m quite fair skinned and that’s exactly what I got. I loved my final look and Janet was great with finding what worked, what didn’t and listening to what I liked and didn’t like. Janet was always available to contact and put me at ease throughout.

I was lucky enough to have Janet White-Ashby & Co for my wedding hair and I was not disappointed. I really wanted soft, beachy curls for my wedding but my hair famously does not hold a curl well so I was nervous, especially with such a long day ahead of me.

But, my hair not only looked incredible, but also stayed looking amazing the whole day! I've had so many compliments from friends who've said that, even at the end of the night I didn't have a hair out of place.

Janet and her team specialise in natural look makeup; If you want to look like the best, most polished version of yourself on your wedding day, she is the MUA to choose. I was really worried about getting my look right and getting the right shade foundation as a brown bride who doesn’t wear makeup day to day, but Janet put me at ease and really helped me to choose a look that would help me to feel like myself, and also tried and tested a few different shades until we got it right. She was so accommodating to my specific requests for my look (winged eyeliner, a big bouncy blow dry, headpieces for myself and my bridesmaids) and was a really calming presence on the day. Our hair and makeup looked fantastic and lasted all day. Would definitely recommend to all brides.

Janet is very friendly and helpful. I kept being told I looked incredible and really pleased with the result. Loved the hair and my make-up looked good all day through. She also helped with my mother-in-law, grandma-in-law and my bridesmaid with their hair and make-up. Absolutely love all the job she did for us on the day.
