Lara Stokes is a wedding hair stylist and beauty specialist based out of Cheltenham, England and serving celebrations throughout the Cotswolds. She has more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry and offers a professional and bespoke service. She started her career managing a Toni & Guy salon in London before discovering her passion for wedding hair and all to do with beauty. She then trained with the world-renowned Kasia Fortuna and now offers all aspects of beauty, including, wedding / occasion hair, makeup, nails, spray tan and skincare.

Lara Stokes takes a relaxed and friendly approach, which allows her to ensure your wedding day is calm and stress-free. If you don't know what hairstyle you'd like, she will help you plan and prepare the look of your dreams. She will also take your dress and ceremony theme into consideration as she crafts your unique aesthetic. Lara can offer a strong creative team for all your beauty needs. Your booking, from skincare to tanning, to hair and makeup and then finally your nails, will be managed for you making sure all is easy and stress-free. We are happy to travel to your destinationn of choice on the lead up to your special day! We very much, look forward to hearing from you!

Wedding hair with Lara 🩷
What an absolute BABE Lara is 💕
From the second I arrived at her house for my trial, I knew I’d picked the right stylist! She made me feel at complete ease, was so personable and friendly from the get-go and she just fully understood me and my vibe. We did two different hairstyles at the trial and I came away wanting both!!!! Turns out a month later I had done a total u-turn and wanted something completely different so we risked it on the morning of the wedding and it paid off - there were lots of tears when Lara showed me in the mirror! It was everything I could have dreamed of and more. I felt like a princess 🥰 (and not only did she smash this hairstyle, she was able to colour match my hair perfectly from photos and videos we’d taken from the trial, as the style I wanted required extensions for volume!)… the trials didn’t go to waste though as my bridesmaids decided to go for the hairstyles I had at my trial! Lauren also helped with this and did such an amazing job with my girls - everyone felt and looked so beautiful and I’m truly grateful for both of you 🩷

Best experience - Highly recommend!
I’m so glad I picked Lara as my hair stylist for my wedding day! From first booking to the big day, Lara was amazing! Maintaining regular communication with me and always staying so professional and friendly!
On the morning of my wedding we had to head over to the wedding venue half way through getting ready and Lara didn’t once complain about having to move and was very understanding about the situation. Lara’s calm demeanour really put me at ease during the move!

Lara made some great suggestions and asked the right sorts of questions before and during my trial to ensure I was truly happy with my style. Cannot recommend enough!!
Lara is brilliant at what she does. Whether it was dealing with awkward timing requests for hair trials or last minute adjustments for the wedding party, Lara was incredibly accommodating for our needs. She helped me to figure out the look I wanted, as well as giving great advice in the run up to the wedding.
I had so many compliments on the amazing job she did throughout the day and it was so nice to know that everything was taken care of. As well as being an amazing hair stylist she also did a wonderful job of keeping us all calm on the morning and helping the whole day start smoothly. I cannot recommend Lara highly enough!

Absolute pro!
I was so lucky to have Lara to do my hair on my wedding day - from the first point of contact through to knowing exactly how to calm my nerves on the day, Lara was an absolute pro throughout the whole experience. I was really unsure as to what I wanted to do with my hair but Lara immediately put me at ease and the results were perfection! My hair stayed perfect all day, as well as my bridesmaids - would 100% recommend to anyone looking for their wedding!

Loved my wedding hair!
Tot was absolutely amazing both in my hair trial and on my wedding day! She made the whole experience really calming and we had a good laugh! After the hair trial I wanted to make some edits and she did exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. Lara and Tot were both really easy to contact leading up to the day and answered any questions I had really quickly. Amazing team - thank you so much!!

I cannot recommend Lara Stokes highly enough. The use of her services from start to finish has been so easy. Her communication and online system made the process so easy. The ladies from Lara's team were professional, yet super friendly. Lauren did my hair - I changed my mind between my trial and the day about how I wanted my hair. Perfect Hair Stylist who made a Perfect Morning Getting Ready
I booked Jodie through Lara and she was an absolutely amazing hair stylist! From start to finish, she was totally professional but so warm and friendly and really listened to what me, my bridesmaids and my mum wanted for my wedding day.
The hair style she did for me was absolutely stunning and even after I wanted a tweak after the trial, Jodie was so accommodating and it felt like no bother at all.
I wish I could have Jodie doing my hair everyday! Please book her, you won’t regret it.

Nadezhda was amazing to work with
Nadezhda did a fantastic job of my wedding hair and makeup on my wedding day, I was truly very happy with it.
For makeup she understands a persons skin tone and what colour pallet works best for your skin and features so pretty much knocked it out the park first time in my makeup trail. For my hair we worked through multiple styles in our trail and found the perfect one for the wedding day itself. I highly recommend having a trail if you are not 100% about what you like and what looks good on you. =] As a person to work with she is great, very sociably and puts you at ease. I highly recommend working with Nadezhda!

Bridal Hair Stylist of Dreams
Lara did mine and my bridesmaids hair for my wedding in June. I’ve never been particularly comfortable having my hair/make up done by someone else, but from the first time I reached out, Lara was so friendly and communicative, she immediately put me at ease.
As soon as I met Lara at my trial I knew straight away that I’d made the perfect choice. She is knowledgeable, patient, friendly, fun and incredibly talented. She listened to the brief and used her expertise to tweak and make it perfect.

July 24 Fabulous wedding hair by Lara
Working with Lara was just brilliant, I wasn’t feeling great about myself at my first trial and Lara noticed this. I changed things for myself and booked in another trial with Lara several months later. Lara took onboard my insecurities and gave me a hairstyle that I loved and felt confident with . Lara was great with communication, fun to be around and very professional, she worked with myself and my 3 bridesmaids to achieve brilliant results, thank you Lara it’s been a pleasure to work and getting to know you x thank you sooo much ! I had Jas do my bridal hair as well as hair for my mum, flower girl and maid of honour. We were all so happy with the results and on top of that, Jas is so lovely and a pleasure to meet. Don't look further than Nadezhda Hardiman!
I cannot recommend Nadezhda from Lara’s team enough for bridal hair and make-up! Like many brides, I was initially nervous about trusting a stylist with my look for such an important day, but Nadezhda put all my worries to rest. From our first consultation, she was attentive and truly listened to my ideas, offering suggestions that enhanced my vision beyond anything I could have imagined.
