Amanda did my makeup artist for my wedding last week, and she was absolutely amazing. She did the makeup for my mother in law and my mum as well, and both of them looked stunning! Everyone was talking about how beautiful and natural my hair and makeup looked, and as someone who doesn't wear makeup or have the skill to do makeup, I really could not have done it without her. Amanda was thoughtful and patient during my hair and make-up trial. She spent time trying both hair up and down. On the day itself, Amanda went the extra mile to ensure she was able to make it (beast from the east and storm Emma to contend with!) Her presence on the day was calming and she was professional, kind and helpful at all times. I would highly recommend Amanda.

She managed to tame my curly hair and it turned out just the way I dreamed. I wanted a natural look for my make-up and she achieved this and I'm pleased to say it lasted the whole day.

I could not recommend Amanda highly enough - she was lovely to have around the morning of my wedding, working calmly and efficiently to complete beautiful bespoke up dos for me and each of my three bridesmaids and also did my and my mum's make up in a natural style that suited us both. I got married recently and I heard about Amanda on the East Dulwich Forum and so booked her to do my hair and make-up. All I can say is that she did the most amazing job and understood the look I was going for perfectly. I didn't opt for a trial as it was close to the day itself but I was SO happy with the final result (and couldn't believe the transformation!) Also, it was a dampish day and my hair and make-up both held up so well and still looked perfect 12 hours later. As well as being extremely talented, Amanda was really lovely and very professional to deal with. I honestly can't recommend her to others enough.

I found Amanda through this website. It felt slightly risky not to have a personal recommendation on what has so far been the only day in my life when I’d had a professional photographer taking my photo but it was well worth the risk.
After initially being slightly apprehensive, I enjoyed the experience of both trial and the wedding day. Amanda is calm and talented, she knows what she is doing.
I had had quite a clear idea (I think) of hairstyle and Amanda was able to achieve this. We discussed what sort of make up I usually wear but was happy to let Amanda try out what she thought was best. I was not disappointed.
A few weeks later I had a party to celebrate my wedding and I booked Amanda again.

I was a bridesmaid at my friends wedding last in 2015 and Amanda was the hair and makeup artisit. I really loved my hair and make up from that day and decided to ask Amanda to do my wedding too. Amanda did my hair and make up last weekend, as well as my bridesmaid, mum and three flower girls. The make up was wonderfully natural looking, one guest told me "you look like you but just..better!" It also stayed put during the heat wave and some rather energetic dancing! She is a magician with hair too- the adult had gorgeous up-dos and the flower girls loved their curls. Amanda did my hair and make upon 15 October this year. We did a trial beforehand and Amanda was really professional with suggestions for hair styles and make up etc. I felt confident that on my wedding day may hair and make up would be amazing - and it was! Amanda is not only an amazing artist and hair stylist, but her personality is very calm and reassuring and she helped me to feel confident on my special day. She has tons and tons of make up and equipment and any number of colours or types of false eyelashes for example. She uses excellent brands of make-up and is very experienced. She even had a selection of hair jewellery, which was a godsend as my bridesmaids flowers did not work in her hair and Amanda was able to provide an instant solution. My 8 year old bridesmaid felt pampered and beautiful too. I would recommend Amanda without a doubt and will certainly use her again for extra special occasions and for a make-up lesson.

Amanda is lovely and her expertise and professional manner dissipated my anxiety about having my make-up and hair done by someone else for the first time. Two friends had asked 'why on earth' I would pay for someone else to prep me for my wedding, but my husband (to be) said it was absolutely right for me to be relaxed on the day. He was so right! Amanda did the hair and make up for myself and four bridesmaids (one little one) and she couldn't have made the experience better! From being completely fine with my slightly frantic, and perhaps last minute, attitude towards the wedding to bringing my flowers to Church which I forgot!
