Hello, and welcome to my business page - firstly, congratulations on your engagement!
My name is Maireade, and I am a professional Hair and Makeup Artist with over 10 years of experience in hair and almost 8 in makeup! I started off my career as a hairdresser working in a salon full time, but I always knew there was more to the industry and forever felt that I had so much more to offer! In 2016, I took the leap and decided to study for a Higher Education Certificate in Hair and Makeup at the University of West London.
Since graduating, I have worked in all areas of the Hair and Beauty business, from Film to Theatre - but my love for bridal has never dwindled, and I have continued serving the industry since the inception of my career. I feel all other areas of my industry experience really give me the edge when creating a personalised bridal look, as I work on such an array of different faces, skin tones and textures and am always looking deeper to draw the best out of my clients.
If polished, soft, natural makeup is your thing, then we are going to be friends! I'd say my style is "true you" in the best possible way - I am all about enhancing natural features to bring out the best in every individual.
I am based in south London but can travel anywhere, including abroad, for your big day.

Fantastic, calming and down to earth

For me to have a hair stylist who fitted the vibe of the wedding was super important and Maireade was perfect! She is super chilled (and very talented) and has a lovely calming vibe, effortlessly stopping any panic in their tracks! Genuinely enjoyed our time together- thank you!

Beyond expectations!

Maireade was the perfect choice for my wedding hair & makeup artist. She was patient and kind, listened to exactly what I wanted and everything turned out even better than I could have ever imagined. Her fun and easygoing nature made the morning of the wedding an absolute dream - it was so relaxed which really helped me feel at ease for the ceremony.

From start to finish Maireade was super responsive and she gave me the confidence I needed to feel amazing on my big day, and I can't thank her enough!

Amazing amazing amazing!

I could not recommend Maireade enough. From start to finish she was helpful, reassuring and responsive. Not only is she super talented, but a really lovely person to have with you on the morning of your wedding! Everyone who met her loved her. The way she styled my hair was near identical to my inspiration pics and as someone who doesn’t wear makeup and isn’t very confident, she put me at ease and gave me the natural glowy look I had dreamed of. She truly made me and my bridesmaids feel our most beautiful selves on my wedding day and I’m so grateful. She’s amazing!

Top talent and a wonderful person!

I recently had the pleasure of having Maireade style my hair for my wedding in London. She was absolutely amazing. Super talented, she totally took on board my initial brief and elevated it. We got on so well too, which was as important as the hair! Maireade's cheery, friendly, calm presence meant we were all super relaxed on the day. She also did the MOG, and my little niece (who was just 3 years old). In particular, Maireade was so wonderful with my niece, made her feel comfortable and special like a little princess, which I think helped give her the confidence she needed as flower girl.

I would highly recommend Maireade's hair or makeup services (wow she can do eyes!) - a top talent, and a wonderful person. Thank you Maireade!

Maireade did my wedding hair and make up and was absolutely amazing. From my preview to the day, she was so understanding of what I wanted and made sure I felt and looked the best, but more importantly that I looked like me.
I felt incredible on the day, which is ultimately down to her.

Absolutely Brilliant - the Best in the Business

In a really crowded market, Maireade stood out as someone who could be relied on to be calm and do what she needed on the day.
Her calm and integrity helped get over wedding morning jitters and her attention to detail was phenomenal. She advised what I needed to do in the run up to the wedding following the trial, and I took all her advice. I will keep doing the routine she suggested!
On the day, she was calm and professional whilst still being warm and welcoming. How she managed to do me and my bridesmaids I'll never know - it was amazing! I felt like she really listened to me and to what I wanted. Being someone who doesn't wear much makeup, I didn't want to feel like I had loads caked on. She really did an amazing job at using great products to enhance the things I do like about myself and hide things that I like less. Her approach was to make it as natural as possible and to enhance the good.

I absolutely cannot rate her highly enough. If I could give her 12 stars out of 10 I would. She is amazing and you can't go wrong with her in your corner. xx
