Makeup By Lorna is a wedding-beauty company based out of Thame, Oxfordshire, in South East England. Lorna Shepherd is a freelance makeup artist based who covers special occasions throughout her hometown surrounding areas. This professional has garnered extensive experience in both the beauty and wedding industries and she delights in creating unique and natural looks for her cherished clients.

Experience

Lorna’s training includes level two cosmetic makeup, level 3 diploma in makeup artistry amongst many other qualifications. She won the International Wedding Awards Hair, Makeup & Beauty category for the Oxfordshire region of the UK, is a regional finalist (South Central) in The 2019 Wedding Industry Awards Wedding Makeup Artist Of The Year Award. Her recent achievements include winning Makeup Artist of the Year in Bridebook's 2019 awards and Finalist in the 2019 Guides for Brides Awards.

Services Offered

Makeup By Lorna is on hand to beautify you and your wedding party. Lorna's services include makeup trials for to-be-weds. On the big day, she will travel to your venue and complete makeovers for your wedding party and other close friends and family members. For parties larger than eight people, Lorna can acquire the assistance of an additional makeup artist.

Amazing, professional, Make up artist.

I wouldnt of had anyone else do my make up! She is a doll. She has a colour and idea for every occasion. She really loves what she does and that shows through her work. I have also worked with Lorna on a number of occasions and she has yet to leave a client unsatisfied with their make up. If you are reading this, book make up by lorna you wont be dissapointed.

Lorna was Amazing!

Lorna was AMAZING for my wedding day. She listened to everything I wanted at our trial, and despite me being irrationally nervous it was perfect. Lorna was then ideal on the wedding day. Everyone was made to feel really beautiful and Lorna was a welcome addition to the morning! Thank you so much

Would highly recommend - lovely natural wedding look

Lorna did my sister’s make-up on her wedding day in early October. She did an amazing job, it was really natural and exactly what she wanted. We had great service, she was extremely helpful, easy to contact before the day and very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Want to feel flawless? Book Lorna!

Lorna was amazing! Me and my 4 bridesmaids were so happy with our makeup for my wedding. We all had so many compliments and felt like queens! Lorna was so friendly and listened to exactly what we wanted. Lorna brings enough makeup for an army! All are excellent brands and she is so reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone and will def be back in touch if I ever need makeup! Thanks Lorna!

Highly recommended!

Lorna did the make-up for my wedding in August of this year and did a great job. At the trial she did everything she could to put me at ease and was more than happy to try out a few styles until we found something I was happy with. On the big day, not only did everyone look great but she was pleasure to have around while we were all getting ready. Thanks Lorna!

Talented make up artist and lovely person

Lorna made me feel at ease immediately, she is also very talented. I changed my mind completely between the trial and wedding day and Lorna did exactly as I asked and took it all in her stride. She was a lovely person to have around as I got ready for my wedding. My wedding make up looked beautiful in my photos and lasted the whole day.

Fantastic Makeup Artist

From my trial to my big day, Lorna was amazing nothing was too much trouble, and she made everyone feel at ease and of course look beautiful, the whole thing was very enjoyable. She even stayed to help me get into my dress. I had many compliments and so did my bridesmaids. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

A rare gem!

Lorna did my make up for my wedding day on December 30th 2017.
In the lead up to the day, Lorna was so flexible with the chaos that is ‘organising a wedding’ and fit me in for a trial that best suited me. She was so communicative in the organisation and confirmation of the appointment, preparing herself for exactly what I wanted and then on the trial day itself, was so thorough in getting the look just right. I was amazed that I’d found someone who was there to deliver an incredible service..... not just there to do a job and earn some money. She was also so incredibly friendly. I felt like I was getting my make-up done by a friend rather than a stranger!
On the day, she replicated the trial so perfectly and made me look so incredible that my husband actually audibly gasped when I walked into the room! And I was a soggy, crying mess all day and my makeup didn’t move at all! (I even maybe did something naughty and slept in it..... I still looked fab the next day too!).

The service Lorna provides is honestly second to none. You get so much value for money. She really should be charging more for the incredible work she does and the thoroughness of her job. Don’t even bother looking at other MUA’s. Lorna is the only one I want from now on in!

After hearing good things about Lorna and seeing pictures of her work, I decided to book her for my wedding and a great decision too. Lorna provided makeup for my mum and myself and we couldn't of been more happy with the results. She really listened to what we wanted and gave her expert opinion on what would work.She arrived on time, was professional and kept to schedule. She uses really good products and our make up lasted all day and night. I would highly recommend Lorna, she's worth every penny.

Wedding makeup

Lorna did my makeup for my wedding and she was amazing I had a trial before the wedding and changed things slightly on the day but nothing was an issue. Professional reliable and great price. Have used her twice since the wedding and recommend her to friends and family. Amazing first class service
