Lipstick and Curls is an award-winning wedding hair and makeup team. Originally established in London, we now boast teams of proffesionals across the UK providing hair and make up services nationally and overseas for destination celebrations. Founded in 2008, our company has over 100 exceptional artists that are dedicated to making you look and feel amazing on your special day. We have lots of experience with different hair types, skin tones, unique themes, soft and natural or bold and sassy, we also work with allergies and sensitivities, we get to understand exactly what is required for the day so you can enjoy the pampering and have a stress-free morning! Lipstick and Curls have a huge body of work, working with brides from all ethnic backgrounds, providing services for small intermate weddings or very large bridal groups we can also provide entirely vegan and cruelty products on request. All of our team are super lovely and are there to make the your day more relaxing and memorable.
We feel every bride is unique to us and therefore offer a service that is tailored to suit each special event and person. We work closely to know exactly what each bride is looking for, even if you don’t know yourself yet! That's where we come in.
Services Offered
Every member of the Lipstick and Curls team is passionate about making each client feel comfortable, understood, and taken care of on the lead up to their big day. We form such great relationships with our brides from the point of booking until the day itself so we are always available if you need any tips or advice along the journey, we make sure everyone is in touch and well connected. We offer a pre-wedding trial, this is a good opportunity to get to know you, discuss ideas, and to try out as many looks as you desire. We will create a bespoke style that fits with your vision and compliments your features and your wedding dress. Lipstick and Curls can also provide services for your entire wedding party to ensure that your group has a cohesive style for your special day.

What is included in the wedding package?
We offer a bridal trial and a full hair & makeup service on the wedding day. All our artists are mobile and have been handpicked from around the UK
How far in advance should I contact you?
We have a large team so can usually help be we do suggest getting the date blocked in our diary as soon as you can. We only ask for a small deposit and we keep the date free until after the trial
Do you work at homes?

What is the charge for travelling?
We try to assign an artist as near to you as possible some often no travel fees but obviously it depends on location

Bridal Hair and Make-Up with Amanda
Amanda did my hair and make-up alongside my 2 bridesmaids for my wedding in October 2024. She was so fab at the make up trial, we were more than happy to choose Amanda for our special day and were thrilled that Amanda was happy to travel to us for this.
Amanda arrived early to our venue and remembered all of the special requests and preferences for our hair and make up. She didn’t mind at all when we changed our mind about a few things and she was such a calming influence on our morning. Amanda is such a kind and friendly person and made sure that our make up and hair were absolutely perfect before the ‘I do’s’. We are so glad Amanda was part of our bridal prep!
Prior to the wedding day, both Amanda and Helen were so organised and thorough. They kept in contact in the run-up to the wedding and promptly replied to any queries and last minute niggles before the big day.
We really couldn’t fault Lipstick & Curls and would thoroughly recommend them to any soon-to-be brides or for other make-up and hair services. Thank you for making me feel beautiful on my wedding day! :)

Very good service
Booking with Lipstick and Curls for my big day was very easy and everything went smoothly. Had a trial for both hair and make up to make sure all went well on the wedding day. Katie was very professional and did a great job! I've got a lot of compliments from the guests :)

lovely and helpful
Amanda was lovely and helpful on my wedding day, she listened to what we all wanted and was just lovely to have around on the morning. would definitely recommend - just make sure you leave enough time to do all the buttons on your dress as that was a little stressful!

Brilliant from start to finish.
Kate was brilliant from start to finish. I love her natural but polished look which was perfect for our wedding. She is lovely to deal with and was great with my 2.5 year old buzzing around on the morning. I felt pampered, no stress and was really happy with the look she created. Hair and makeup lasted the whole day till midnight! Thank you so much Kate, you’re a star!

fantastic company and I enjoyed every minute!
Amanda was an did an incredible job of my hair and makeup for my wedding day. I was very nervous about having my hair and makeup done for the first time but she listened to my ideas and got exactly what I wanted first time.
I felt like the best version of myself on the day and the hair and makeup stayed put the whole day even through my ugly crying!

The hair and makeup were beautiful.
I had my hair and makeup done for my wedding by Emma, an artist from Lipstick & Curls, and I would really recommend it.
She came to our house where I explained her what I wanted and she did a great job in making it happen -we did a trial day to make sure I liked it and then we were ready for the big day.

The hair & make-up artist was brilliant during the trial but on the wedding day the result was very different and far from ideal.

Lipstick and Curls did the makeup for me and my whole bridal party for my wedding in Oct 2021. They were so lovely and professional! They made us look fantastic while keeping our makeup natural so we looked like ourselves which was important to me. There were also calm and positive throughout which helped ease my morning-of-wedding nerves. I would definitely recommend their services and I'm so glad they were part of my wedding day!

would highly recommend Lipstick and Curls
I cannot recommend Lipstick and Curls enough. I corresponded mainly with Helen throughout booking my wedding hair and makeup. She was very friendly and informative and kept me up to date throughout. Amanda did the hair/makeup for myself and my bridal party. We had an initial trial to go through what each person wanted which was great. I ended up changing my behind after the trial, I sent an an email and I got a response immediately saying it would be no problem. On the day of the wedding Amanda made us all look amazing. She is brilliant at what she does and very professional. I would highly recommend Lipstick and Curls and to ask for Amanda.

Very impressed
Kate did my hair and makeup, alonside my 5 bridesmaids hair and makeup. It was a big job but Kate helped us all stay really chilled and she made us all look amazing. I was so happy with my hair and make up, as were my bridesmaids. I don't normally wear that much make up, Kate did a great job of making me look natural. I was so impressed with Lipstick and Curls generally, they are very responsive on emails and in comparison to other make up companies they are really good value for money.

My mum and I got makeup and hair from Amanda. She understood exactly what we wanted and did it for us. During the styling we had to change the room but she was so understanding and very patient. Thanks so much Amanda. You’re a superstar!

Katie was excellent
Katie did my hair and makeup for my wedding and she was brilliant. I showed her some pictures and she knew exactly how to do it. She also pinned my veil in place and it didn’t move all day stayed in place perfectly. The makeup was stunning and I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.

My wife looked so stunning
As a groom, I would give my opinion and I cannot fault it in anyway the service from lipstick and curls from the trial to the actual big day was flawless. Their work and creativity with my beautiful wife was exceptional. I would recommend them to any bride and bridesmaids who are getting married soon the service is more than 10 out of 10.
