I work from a fully equipped studio in Chislehurst, London, on the Kent borders, offering a comfortable, welcoming space for brides' alterations and the making of wedding dresses.

I work with you and your ideas to create the unique wedding dress of your dreams, meticulously crafted using couture techniques for the perfect fit. I am lucky to have a job that I enjoy, and I am very inspired by each and every dress that I make, from the more traditional to the very unusual. We can work together to design your dream dress, look through some beautiful fabric samples and embellishments, and discuss colour, theme, shape and design. We'll work to a budget you are happy with, creating a unique, beautifully fitted dress for your special day. With a BA in costume interpretation and over 30 years of experience in creating historical and modern dress for theatre, film and clientele, it still gives me immense joy to create that very special outfit. A new pattern is made for each client; a toile (mock-up of the dress) gives you a chance to picture what has been discussed so far. You can view the fit and design of the dress before cutting into the final fabric. Once the dress has been constructed, two or three more fittings will be needed to perfect the fit and refine the details.

Wedding dresses and garments can also be altered, along with bridal and bridal attendee alterations and repairs. I can also create a veil to compliment a dress I have made or one I have altered. I have plenty of tulles and sheer fabrics to choose from and can offer various lengths and layers with a plain or decorative edge.
