With 10 years of experience as a bespoke ladieswear designer, Ieva Porete knows the process of wedding preparation; there are ups and downs and various family dynamics, and we offer a welcoming and relaxing environment to have the dresses designed and made. The design process starts with you! A consultation to discuss what you would like to wear, then we go fabric shopping at the famous Joel &Son Fabric Store in London to see what catches the eye and matches the vision. The dressmaking process takes five appointments and three fittings; we always start with a Calico Mock-up to determine the design and fit; after that, it will be a half-ready outfit fitting where minor changes can be made and intricate details articulated. The process takes around 8 weeks; some clients prefer to plan up to 18 months in advance.
