Lisa Lyons Bridal is a bespoke bridal studio, located in Harpenden in the Hertfordshire region of England. Owner and founder Lisa Lyons-Montgomery, has over 25 years of experience in the industry. Lisa, who studied her craft at the London College of Fashion, understands that finding the perfect dress can be an overwhelming task. She works to create a stress-free and seamless experience for newlyweds-to-be, helping them to enjoy the nuptial preparation process.
Services Offered
Lisa Lyons Bridal offers both bespoke and own-label dresses from her carefully curated and thoughtfully designed collection. From modern and contemporary gowns to vintage-inspired pieces, this talented designer will work with you to make your nuptial vision come to life. Lisa recommends that clients allow between six and nine months for the bespoke creation process, however, she is always willing to work with newlyweds-to-be when possible. Fittings and alterations are available at her studio, ensuring that your gown is a perfect fit. Steaming, preparation, and dressing services are also available upon request, ensuring that everything goes smoothly on the day.

How far in advance should I contact you?
Bespoke dresses on average take between 6-9 months to make but this does depend on the complexity and time of year and I will always try and accommodate your request, so please do get in contact

Amazing experience
Lisa is hugely knowledgeable and just incredible at what she does, I always felt in safe hands. I was very indecisive with design decisions which couldn't have been easy to work with (sorry Lisa!!), but Lisa always took on board my thoughts and helped to guide me through the process, and I was so happy with my dress in the end. The entire process was an amazing and unique experience, and so reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommend!

Beautiful wedding dress
Lisa was fantastic to work with - so meticulous with amazing attention to detail and sense of style. I felt in safe hands from start to finish and the process is so thorough and fairly priced. I loved that the design and fit was tailored to me from start to finish and it was incredibly fun and exciting. I can’t recommend Lisa enough!

Amazing service
Lisa is amazing & I would recommend her to anyone. Initially I took my dress to Lisa for alterations but I later decided I wanted to restyle of the skirt section. We were against the clock as my wedding was only 6 weeks away & Lisa was so flexible with appointments, fitting me in out of hours. Her attention to detail is first class & she really cares. I felt my dress was in safe hands & she reassured me it would be finished in time & all would be ok. Thank you Lisa!

Perfect wedding dress alterations
Lisa was absolutely a delight to work with! I ordered my wedding dress form a boutique on the slightly later side and they couldn't accommodate me for alterations in a less than 10 week period. I messaged Lisa and she was able to see me that week (around my rather inflexible schedule). My alterations were perfect - dress fit me like a glove and she added an easy-to-manuever bustle for my long train - I felt so beautiful! Alterations were completed in a really timely fashion. She was also very communicative and easy to get in touch with. I would recommend her to any bride!

Dream Come True!

So talented and a very fun experience.
As a hater of shopping and wanting something that was truly my own, my search stopped when I found Lisa Lyons Bridal. From our first consultation meeting, Lisa understood the perils of wedding dress shopping and guided me through her process. I'm so grateful to have found Lisa. Her precision and attention to detail is astounding. The design, the material, the embroidery, the buttons, it's all gorgeous - thanks to Lisa! If any doubt, do it!

Wonderful alterations
Lisa did my bridal dress alterations and on the day steaming service! It was a joy from start to finish, visiting her studio in Harpenden for fittings through to on the day when she made my dress look picture perfect even showing the bridesmaids how to dress me and handle the dress on the day! Lisa was kind and professional throughout and the alterations were fantastic and my dress looked amazing. Thank you Lisa!! Xx

Dream Dress Created - Thank you Lisa!
From the moment Lisa sent me a sketch of my dress I knew she was the person I wanted to work with. She understood everything I wanted and created exactly that! I felt a million dollars on my wedding day, wearing exactly the dress I had imagined. Having your dress made bespoke gives you that extra special feeling, knowing it is a one off design and every element is handmade. I couldn't recommend Lisa more, she was a pleasure to work with, friendly, welcoming, professional and a ridiculously talented lady.

Simply Stunning
I found Lisa via Guides for Brides. We had a couple of email exchanges before meeting up. I had found a picture of "the dress" on pinterest. From that one image Lisa created my dream dress, she sourced amazing fabric and made a stunning gown. It was put on pause because of Covid, but we picked back up in Feb 21 for my wedding in August and it was such a pleasure going for fittings. As on older bride, and it being a second wedding the dress was just perfect, I kept it on the whole day and received so many amazing comments. Lisa is an amazing dressmaker and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Would highly recommend
I was quite nervous about altering my wedding dress as it was so heavily beaded. Lisa did an amazing job of working with the intricate details and altering it to fit me perfectly. She was also just a dream to work with in general - throughout the difficult covid restrictions and some other personal circumstances, I had to keep quite flexible and plans were changing every week. Lisa was super positive and flexible which was a huge help. Her show room was lovely and it was great to see some of the dresses she had made - if I didn't already have a dress I would have LOVED one of hers. Would highly recommend!

Incredibly lovely lady who made my dream dress for unbelievable value!
I couldn’t believe my luck when I found Lisa! She is incredibly lovely, patient and flexible. She is extremely talented and had the most stunning and comfortable dresses, I fell in love with one, and she then made me my own version from scratch with a handful of changes I wanted - all for significantly less than the cost of all the other dresses I’d tried on in boutiques/shops! Plus if you happen to already know exactly what you want, Lisa can make that for you too :) So I would recommend Lisa to ANYONE looking for a wedding dress (and I do!!), because she is a dream to work with and will give you your dream dress. At least that part of the wedding planning can be enjoyable and stress free!

Bespoke dress of dreams!
It was an amazing feeling wearing a hand made, one of a kind, bespoke wedding dress that I had designed myself, and I am so thankful to Lisa for putting my vision together. The process is fun from seeing sketches, choosing fabrics, trying on mock ups, to the finishing touches! I changed my mind along the way and this was never too much trouble either. Lisa also came on the day to steam my dress which was such a great help and took that extra pressure off. Thank you Lisa!

The best of the best
Lisa was fantastic throughout my experience with her. She had a lot of work to do on my dress to make it fit me after I purchased it from the dress shop. In the end my dress fitted me perfectly and she also altered my bridesmaids dresses which were a very difficult satin material. They all looked incredible in them when she had finished them and you’d never know the material had been touched at all. I would recommend anyone to Lisa as she is so talented and has an eye for detail. Thank you much for perfecting my dream dress!
