I had the most amazing experience at Silk & Maple. Roberta was so caring and made you feel so special and found me the most perfect dress for my big day. It was my first bridal dress try on and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Can’t wait to see my dress once it’s been tailored!

I had a not so great experience with a different bridal boutique and Roberta and Tegan showed me exaclty how the experience should be, the girls are amazing. And I found my dress.

The shop is beautiful with its own little rooms. The girls have tons of experience and knowledge. Honestly if I could do it all over again I definitely would.

I had the most wonderful experience at Silk & Maple! From the moment I walked in, **Gemma** was absolutely amazing—so friendly, welcoming, and warm. I instantly felt at ease, which made such a difference for such an important decision. After I shared a bit about myself and the style I was looking for, Gemma immediately started pulling dresses that I absolutely loved. She even managed to pull *the* dress I said yes to, before I’d even asked if they had that specific one available!

What made this experience even more special were the little touches this shop added along the way. They truly make you feel like a priority and ensure the whole process feels personal and memorable. I couldn't recommend Silk & Maple enough! If you're looking for a beautiful dress and a team that cares about making your day perfect, this is the place to go.

Gemma was absolutely amazing set the bar very high for other consultants when I go to a few other bridal shops. She listened very carefully, made me feel comfortable, extremely complimentary which is a must I think when you’re choosing such an important dress. Approaching my second marriage I had very clear ideas on what I didn’t want and Gemma at Silk & Maple didn’t let me down. Beautiful gowns with such amazing customer service. I found ‘the one’ and the guests who also joined me loved the whole experience too.

Although I was nervous, as soon as we arrived Roberta and Tegan made us feel so welcome and excited for the appointment. There are so many beautiful dresses and styles to choose from and Roberta really listened to what I liked and what I was looking for with each dress I tried on. I said yes to the dress which Roberta had hand selected for me, it is absolutly stunning and I felt so happy having found my dream dress, there were even tears!
I also returned for an accessorry appointment with Jess who shared so much knowledge and made me feel at ease helping me find the perfect veil to compliment my dress.

I’m not over-exaggerating when I say this is the best bridal shop ever. The shop is beautiful, there’s a massive selection of dresses (without being overwhelming), and the girls are AMAZING. As a pretty insecure person, Tegan, Roberta, and Jess were all so, so helpful and supportive, and made me feel beautiful in the dresses. There was absolutely no pressure to make a decision on the spot, and they were there to support me every step of the way. I honestly could not recommend this bridal shop more if you want a luxury, classy experience.

I've been obsessed with Silk & Maple from the moment I got engaged. I have tried other lovely shops but never felt like I found 'The One'. I was looked after by Tegan, who instantly sat me down and asked me what I wanted, what I liked and how I wanted to feel. She let me loose on the shop but had a few dresses up her sleeve for me to try.



From start to finish, I felt as though I was with a friend - not someone who wanted me to pick something they felt best. I was instantly at ease, feeling like the whole day was all about me. Tegan really made me feel like she wanted me to find the perfect dress and thanks to her - I did!



I genuinely don't know how else to explain it. If you don't drive, it is worth the travel. It is worth going. It is worth having that experience. I came away with a dress that was exactly how I described and I felt so beautiful in it. I welled up. I did not want to take it off. Tegan was amazing, kind, fun, and informative. Everything you need. There was no pressure, just someone who wanted to help you find your dream dress. Amazing range, amazing people (got to say hi to Roberta towards the end!). Just go. There's a reason they've won awards and have nothing but 5* reviews. Thank you guys so much for everything. Honestly I had the best time ever x

Roberta and Teagan are incredible at what they do. Their bridal boutique is stunningly decorated, and very chic.
They stock an amazing amount of dresses covering all types of styles to allow a bride lots of choice when trying on. I personally wasn't sure what would suit me, and Roberta was great at getting me in every possible style and neckline to determine what I liked and what I didn't.

Choosing a dress I think can feel very overwhelming, especially with so much choice and inspiration online, but Roberta and Teagan made me feel completely at ease and it was super special to share the experience with my bridesmaids and Mum.

The bridal rooms have plenty of space and seating, and beautiful modesty robes to have on inbetween dress changes. There is an option to have prosecco at your appointment which just adds to the glitz and glamour of the special occasion.

Silk & Maple was the first bridal shop I went to, and I was fortunate enough to find "the one" here, a beautiful Nicole Milano gown, not the dress I imagined myself in at all, and absolutely stunning. When you know, you know.

I pondered whether to add this part, but I am going to because I think it is testament to Roberta and Teagan, and shows how much pride they take in their work and the high quality of service they provide: When my dress came in, upon Robertas' inspection, she noticed there was a slight defect. This was a fault in the making of the dress, and Roberta was extremely quick to let me know and inform me that she had rejected the dress in replacement for another one. We had plenty of time still, and she reassured me that all would be fine, and of course- it absolutely was! The replacement dress arrived in perfect condition and I was able to collect it well ahead of the wedding date, allowing ample time for alterations too.

Worth noting that this bridal boutique does not offer in-house alterations, however, this is not an issue because they do have several seamstresses that they recommend. I went with Veronica, for convenience, who was based in Colchester (my nearest large town). I will leave her a separate review, but worth mentioning here that I highly recommend her work. There wasn't an awful lot of adjustment needed on my dress as the measurements were spot on, it just needed taking up- but she is very thorough and quick in responding.

Teagan and Roberta have won awards for their bridal boutique and it is clear to see that they are well deserved. The ladies work incredibly hard and offer a very personal and friendly service. I highly recommend them.

Silk & Maple was the perfect wedding dress shopping experience, I couldn't have wished for more. I really didn't know what to expect when looking for a dress but Roberta & Tegan put me at ease immediately and I looked forward to returning for each appointment. My friends & family that attended with me each time also loved visiting, and expressed how welcoming & enthusiastic Roberta & Tegan were. My friend from Birmingham even said she'd happily travel to Sudbury so that she can be a Silk & Maple bride too! Thank you so much, I can't wait to wear my dress on my big day!

Tegan and Roberta were extremely welcoming and made us feel at ease. They were very helpful in selecting dresses and were able to explain how each dress could potentially be customised or modified if it was missing a particular feature (e.g. sleeves).
We primarily worked with Tegan and she was great at reading the room and giving us exactly the amount of assistance that we needed. The experience felt very warm and personal. Effort was made to make the process as comfortable as possible and the discussion around sizing was handled very sensitively. The dressing room was a really pleasant space and felt very private.
The selection of dresses was great and felt quite unique, featuring several designers with only a handful of UK stockists. Of the 11 or 12 dresses I tried across various shops, my 3 favourite dresses were all from Silk & Maple.
I would recommend Silk & Maple to anyone looking for a wedding dress!
