Durham City Cakes is known for its unique, design-led and award winning cakes, that feature colour, textures, and flow. With a love of nature, I'm often inspired by rustic themes and has exceptional attention to detail, whether it's a traditional cascade of sugar flowers or a two-foot stag head.

Ive heard it said that a cake should taste as good as it looks, which forms the basis of my ethos which guarantees all my cakes. Using only premium ingredients, I offers a wide range of cake flavour combinations developed over the years, including catering to those with particular dietary needs, such as gluten-free and vegan.

My mission is to ensure that each cake is unique to each couple, tailored to your specific requirements, and designed just for you.

What the process looks like ?

1. Starting with your initial enquiry, we will discuss your date,your venue, budget, number of guests and your design and aspirations of your dream cake.

2. I will then provide an estimated quote.

3. if we are both in agreement and you would like to book in, you will then be able to pay a partial deposit of £100, which, secures your date in my diary, and enables me to start the first stages of the design process.

4. Cake sample boxes are complementary (usually £45) for couples that book in with their deposit and each box contains six different flavour combinations, of your choice. (tasters boxed are posted direct to you)

5. *Following your consultation, you will get an accurate final quote and my bespoke initial sketch of your wedding cake, this is where your cake will start to come to life. Any tweaking of the design will happen at this stage.

6..One Month Before: The remaining balance will be due one calander month prior to your wedding date and all details will be checked to ensure nothing has changed.

7. On your Wedding Day: The morning of your wedding (or an alternative time if
arranged) I’ll will arrange with the venue, for the delivey and set up your cake in the agreed location at your venue. Spending time to stack and add any finial touches making sure it is perfect and ready to be revealed.

8. After the wedding day. (STAND HIRE) if any stands or props are to be returned to me there will be a box left at the venue, with full instructions, ready to return the items required, once recieved your stand deposit will be returned, as per my tearms and conditions.
