Meet the Team
I have been baking cakes for as long as I can remember, somehow muddling through and learning from more established bakers books, videos and tutorials. Around 8 years ago I attended a few classes by Pretty Witty Cakes founder Suzy Witt. I loved her honesty, her infectious sense of humour and down-to-earth approach and promptly subscribed to her website. Working full-time meant that I could not realistically offer cakes as a business so for many years continued to have only friends and family as “customers”. I dreamed that one day I would be able to put the rat-race behind me and realize my true passion. In July 2019, I was made redundant from my job of 13 years so, after crunching some figures and many discussions with my husband, the decision was made to take the plunge and Monumental Cakes was truly born. I don’t want to rule the Cake World, I just want to bring smiles to my customers as I reveal their wishes and imagination in cake form.
