With a background in fine art and a passion for boundary-pushing baking, Claire creates desgin-focussed, one-of-a-kind cakes that are rich in colour, texture and flavour. Working across London, Surrey and Sussex, Claire will collaborate closely with you to develop your unique cake design, keeping the process relaxed and stress-free and the end result artistic, original and absolutely scrumptious!

Claire holds a First Class degree in Fine Art Sculpture and spent 10 years curating public art installations before transferring her skills to edible art.

A wedding cake is a big investment so the design experience is something to be savoured as much as the final slice. This might be the first time you have commissioned someone to create something bespoke for you.

Claire Owen Cakes provides a thorough consultation to get to know you and your wedding cake ideas. Couples are invited to try a sample box of six flavours, which arrives with you by next day delivery, beautifully packaged and ready to eat – at your leisure - with a follow-up online design consultation. Claire offers a wide variety of flavours to choose from, from the classics to the more unusual including lime gin & tonic, pistachio and rose, Sussex Stout and orange & pomegranate. A range of dietary requirements can be accommodated for your cake.

Claire creates each cake design from scratch in line with your overall vision for your day, producing a watercolour drawing for each design which some couples choose to purchase and frame as a keepsake.

In addition to delightful wedding cakes, Claire can also craft a selection of sweet treats and dessert displays for your occasion. These include macarons and iced biscuits which make beautiful and delicious favours for your guests.
