I am so sorry to have to write this update.

Due to my landlord increasing the rent by double and being unable to find suitable alternative premises I have taken the very sad decision to close Amelia's Classic Cars as it is.

Margaret-Rose has already sold and is awaiting collection to go back up to London, have some work done to a few areas of rust that are starting to bubble to her lower half then have a respray to her original colour and be placed in a Museum for prosperity as Princess Margaret's Limousine.

Amelia is up for sale.

I will be keeping Sophie when she returns from her restoration, however I do not have a date as to when that would be so would not like to commit to taking on any weddings until she is back.

I hope you can find an alternative wedding car and I am so, so sorry to have to send you this reply. It's been a very difficult and upsetting decision for me to have to make.

Once Sophie is back I will update this page accordingly.

Services offered

Amelia's Classic Cars has three cars available for hire:

• "Amelia," a 1949 Ford V8 Pilot, spacious and recently refurbished. *Currently not taking bookings for Amelia due to planned maintenance.
• "Sophie," a 1959 Armstrong Siddeley Star Sapphire. One of only a 120 still on the road, and quite possibly the only on in Cornwall, Sophie is spacious and sophisticated. Restored and resprayed in 2020/21 and ready for bookings from the summer of 2021.
• "Margaret-Rose," a 1972 Daimler DS420 Vanden Plas Limousine. Originally Princess Margaret's official limousine, this car features an original interior and an inlaid drinks cabinet with the royal household crest.

Whichever car you choose they will be decorated with ivory satin ribbons and silk flowers. Your chauffeur will be in uniform, and will be happy to assist in whatever way they can, whether it is holding your bouquet, or repositioning the cars to guarantee that you get the best photos.
