We are a family run business with proffesional chefs who pride ourselves in providing only the finest quality food for your wedding day. Our skills ensure that we consistently deliver an exceptional dining experience in any catering environment.

Our team of friendly front of house staff offer a refined yet friendly approach to food service, ensuring that you and all of your guests are impressed with the attention to detail and level of service we bring to your special day.

Eden Barn Weddings

We have been the exclusive caterer at the luxury boutique barn venue Eden Wedding Barn in Kirkby Stephen for 4 years. Together with the Eden Barn team, we have an even larger array of menu options availaable to enusre that your wedding is remembered forever for having the best wedding food on offer.

Quality Local Produce

We work very closely with our local producers and are great believers in “field to table”, using locally sourced produce wherever possible. In the Lake District we are privileged to have a vast array of local quality produce in particular the lamb from the fells, the low grazing cattle, cheese from local dairies and of course our famous shrimps from the bay.

Tailor Made Packages
Our menus show just a small selection of our dishes, but we love to create bespoke menus whenever possible. Whether it be a 5 course dinner or a wholesome buffet, share your ideas with us and we’ll create a luxurious menu to impress your guests.

Unbelievable food!

Southcott Events Catering were simply incredible. Right from the start with looking at menu options and booking our tasting, they were so friendly and helpful. The food is just divine! All our guests commented on how it was some of the best food they’d ever had. The staff were incredibly helpful and were on hand throughout the day to make sure everything was perfect. Amazing food and amazing service!

The Southcott team were amazing! The food was out of this world and went down a treat with our guests. We chose the Cumbrian feasting board and it was a real conversation starter between the tables, served amazingly, the waiters/waitresses were very knowledgeable and always on hand to help if you needed them.
We went to choose our food a year before our wedding and the whole experience was so exciting, and tasty!

Southcott were amazing, they were the full package. From helping with the planning, the canapés, the wedding breakfast and the evening food to the master of ceremonies duties. The made the day run smoothly and most importantly the food was amazing.

Delicious and Seamless

Southcott Catering helped our wedding breakfast run smoothly and easily. The service on the day was seamless. They even served hot chocolate alongside the tea and coffee at our request, which was appreciated by a handful of our guests.

The food was amazing and I know enjoyed by everyone. I especially want to thank them for catering for our coeliac guests on the day.

Incredible Food and Service

We don’t know how to put into words how thankful we are to the Southcott team for catering for our wedding at Eden Barn this August!
The run up to the wedding was made so easy with all the help from Jenn and Nicole. We had such an amazing time at our tasting and picking our menu felt really special.
On the day everything ran so smoothly and was perfectly organised so that we didn’t have to worry about anything.
And finally - the food. Of course it was absolutely incredible and we had so many compliments from our guests.
Thank you again for everything you did on our special day - best day of our lives!

The best food ever!

This team are unbelievable. The quality of food and service is ridiculous. They’re the kindest team and made our day run so smoothly and seamlessly. We have had countless comments on how amazing the food was and still get compliments months on!

Incredible wedding food

We got married at Eden Barn with Southcott as the caterer.

From the tasting to the day itself, Southcott were amazing and so supportive with all of the planning.

Nicole was brilliant on the day itself, keeping things running smoothly and keeping us informed throughout the day.

We have received many compliments on the lovely food throughout the day.

Amazing food

Wow! The food and service from Southcotts Catering I cannot recommend enough. We knew as soon as we went for the wedding tasting that we were in for a treat. Everything about the food was incredible, tasty, and we received raving reviews from all our guests. The particular favourite was the famous sticky toffee pudding. Jen, Luke and the team were so professional, helpful and were on hand to ensure the day ran as smooth as possible. We could not recommend them enough

Our experience with Southcott Events Catering was fantastic, from our first venue meeting, to the lovely food tasting morning at their kitchens and right through to our wedding day. Jen is so friendly and organised and helped us with the timings of our day as well as the food. She really made us feel like everything was under control and it helped us feel a lot more relaxed, especially on the wedding day itself, as she made sure everything ran smoothly for us so that we didn’t have to worry. The food was amazing and catered for all diets, and dishes were adapted to cater for one severe nut allergy, whilst still allowing us to have our perfect menu. The service was impeccable and our guests loved the wedding breakfast. SEC without a doubt serve the best sticky toffee pudding we’ve ever had (we’ve had a lot!) The starter and main options on their menu are really inventive, as are the intricate canapés (the mini sausages, mini bruschettas and mini shepherds pies went down a treat!) We can’t recommend Jen and Luke enough!

Outstanding caterers that go above and beyond

We can't thank Jen and the team enough for making our day so special. The food was always a big priority for our wedding day and Southcott did not disappoint as the food was outstanding. Our guests have all commented on how nice the food was. It wasn't just the food that made us choose Southcott, it was the whole package. We had spoken to a few caterers and Jen really stood out as actually genuinely caring about ensuring our day was perfect. Rather than just replying to my email Jen arranged a call and listened to what we wished for and then made sure it happened. Jen was always quick to respond to any of our queries and gave us so many ideas and suggestions. Southcott really did remove a lot of the stress and worry from the planning. When it came to the big day we had the most perfect day thanks to the team taking care of everything, the day was perfect as we really didn't have to worry about a thing. We can't thank Jen and the Southcott team enough - thank you!

Delicious food, great people

From the very first discusion with Jen, we knew we were in capable hands. Jen, Luke and their team were amazing. Jen was so organised and helped us plan out our day and guided us expertly through the process. Luke's food is delicious, everyone has commented on how great the food was. We are both vegetarian so wanted the veggie option to be good, and it was more than we could have hoped for - even the meat eaters said how delicious the mushroom burgers in the evening were. The whole Southcott team were great, very professional yet friendly. They even made sure we got canapes and evening food (It's really easy to forget to eat when you're having so much fun!). We couldn't recommend them enough, they were a huge part in helping us have a great day, just what you need on your special day.

Phenomenal!

Jen, Luke and the whole team at Southcott were incredible and we could not have asked for better caterers. The food was completely delicious, with so many of our guests commenting that it was the best wedding food they’d ever tasted. But it wasn’t just the food that Southcott excelled at. Jen was so incredibly helpful throughout the planning of the wedding and the team were exceptional on the day. We were thrilled with Southcott and wouldn’t think twice about recommending them.

Absolutely Fabulous

Jen and Luke and their team exceeded all expectations in delivering our wedding breakfast, evening food and hosting our day. The guests were unanimous in their praise for the quality and presentation of the food and the excellent service throughout the day. We cannot thank them enough for their huge contribution to making our day perfect. Their calm and relaxed guidance beforehand in selecting our menu and in dealing with the special dietary requirements of some of our guests was reassuringly professional and efficient. Perfect!

Our day wouldn't have been the same (or anywhere near as good) with anyone else running things! Everyone commented on how good the food was during the day and in the evening, and also how polite and friendly the staff were.

Southcott's handled the running of the day with ease and professionalism from start to finish, we wouldn't have changed a thing so we can't thank you enough!

Gorgeous food and amazing service

We met with a few caterers to talk through our ideas, but instantly knew that Southcott would be perfect for our wedding in Cumbria. Their food presentation is outstanding and has a really nice modern yet rustic feel to it. We decided to have sharing platters for our guests, which consisted of lots of our favourite foods served on a lovely wooden boards directly to the tables. All of our guests (and us!) loved the food and commented on how delicious and how much of it there was. With canapes in the early afternoon and lovely home made burgers on the night, it was definitely just how we had imagined and more. Jen, Luke and all of the team have a great eye for detail and attention, making the day very relaxed and organised for us, we can't thank them enough.
