Located near Whipsnade, Bedfordshire, Kingfisher Event Caterers is a company that specialises in creative catering for weddings, celebrations, chariry dinners and corporate events in Herts, Beds and Bucks.

Extablished for over 40 years and owned by Dan Kempson since March 2010, Kingfisher has built a repuation as one of the regions leading event caterers working as a preferred supplier at a number venues and specialising in marquee and tipi catering for up to 850 guests.

Using the freshest and seasonal produce from trusted suppliers that we have carefully selected, we offer menu tastings at our standard approved kitchens which are located at a former working farm in the beautiful Bedforshire countryside. Our menu tastings are an opportunity to meet some of the team, see our professional premises and sample some of the dishes leaving you confident in the high level of food and service that yourself and your guests can expect on your big day.

In addition we can also offer-

THE FOOD IS AMAZING!
We selected a catered BBQ with salad sharing platters for our wedding. The food was hot, delicious and everyone at our wedding commented on how sensational it was!
The communication prior to the wedding was fast, and responsive, and always at the end of an email for our (multiple!) chopping and changing! Nothing was too much. Everything was perfection, the food was a memorable part of our day and we are so grateful to kingfishers for such a professional, delicious service!

Kingfisher caters we’re amazing

Dan was just fab from start to finish, nothing was too much and he hides us through of things we hadn’t even thought of making the day run perfectly. The staff were professional and effient.

Outstanding!

I just can't praise Kingfisher enough. From initial enquiry to the very last minute of our wedding day they were outstanding.
Communication was easy and simple, we always heard directly from Dan and any questions were quickly answered.
Our wedding menu was perhaps a little different but that wasn't a problem and we got exactly what we asked for (well actually I think it was even better!).
The tasting was a great opportunity to meet Dan, try the food and go through every detail of our day so we knew it would be in very safe hands with the team.
The team on the day were amazing, they really made the whole day come together, the timings went slightly off (our fault!) but that wasn't a problem for them at all. Every single member of the team was impeccably polite and accommodating to every guest, nothing was too much trouble. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious, so many guests commented on the food, I wish I could eat it every day!
A million thank yous wouldn't be enough!

Great food and service

Kingfisher were brilliant for our wedding. We had many comments from guests on the quality of the food and how friendly and helpful the staff were. Very happy we worked with them!

Terrible Covid policy AVOID

Do not book with these guys! I had guests drop out over a week before my wedding due to Covid, there response was bad luck. Most companies have been understanding with Covid, but not these guys. The food was decent, but the catering manager was rude and unhelpful. They did little to help where they could. When I spoke to them about refunding the meals they did not produce, they made up stories to try and justify the costs, e.g broken glasses. I didn’t see a single glass get broken? They then said they had ordered the food already. If this was the case, when I informed them the guests had Covid they should had offered the food anyway as it was costing me around £100 a head. Also would not refund the cost of pouring drinks all day to the guests that did not come. Avoid this company at all cost. While they may have previously been a decent caterer, they seem to not have adapted well to the Covid situation in the world. Massive let down!

Amazing food and great staff

Thanks to Laura and her team we had a smooth running wedding day and amazing food that all the guests enjoyed. Laura and her team created a welcoming atmosphere and helped out with so many little things we didn't have to worry about anything on the day. Their experience and professionalism made for smooth organisation, they went above and beyond to create a memorable day for us.

Amazing wedding food

We used Kingfisher for our wedding. We went for the BBQ option and the trio of deserts. All I can say is wow, everyone commented on how good the food was! The staff were amazing very professional. We knew as soon as we met Dan and Laura that our wedding was in safe hands and it was, the food was so important to us and Kingfisher exceeded our expectations.
