Based in London, Rosehip and Rye is a boutique wedding catering company specialising in natural and seasonal food.
The all-women team bring the flavours from the 'New East' to London: the diverse and exciting regions from the Baltics to Ukraine and Georgia.
Style of food?
Imagine Ottolenghi feasts with inspriation from Eastern Europe. Colourful big platters, lots of vegetables and herbs, stunning hand-made pies and elegant cakes (made on order by our pattiserie maker actually trained with Ottolenghi!).
If you are looking for a fairytale-like, relaxed and perhaps a little boheminian style of wedding food, but still be served with elegance and warm service, we would love to help.
What makes us different?
We have over 10 years of experience in creating immersive dining experiences with the likes of the V & A, Royal Academy of Arts, Pushkin House, Watts gallery, to name a few. This means that we pay particular attention to the look and feel of each event.
Care about the quality of ingredients*?
We prioritise organic, local ingredients to avoid chemicals and have fresher food.
So, most of our meat is British and free-range. Bread is sourdough from Schiscia bakery. Flour is organic from Shipmill in Gloucestershire. Kefir is organic from Bio-tiful Dairy and rye bread is from Karaway Bakery, a local Eastern-European company.
*It helped that Katya, one of the founders, had spent 10 years working for the Soil Association, the largest organisation in the UK campaigning for sustainable food and farming.

Our story.
Rosehip + Rye began in 2012 as a passion project. We set out to re-connect and learn more about the food cultures of our roots by creating pop-up dinners across London. Katrina (Katya) grew up in Estonia to a Ukrainian mother and a father from Crimea. Karina was born in Moscow with her dad's family hailing from the Caucasus, of Armenian and Georgian origins.
Type of dishes and menus do we offer?
We offer a bespoke catering experience with the freedom to customise your wedding menu. Couples can choose from a selection of dining styles, including sharing platters, canapes, and a seated meal, before indulging in the ultimate honey cake for dessert. Some of the dishes you can choose include:
- Chicken a la Kiev bonbons
- 'Faberge' eggs
- Cucumber and salmon rolls
- 'Salmon in roses' (whole salmon, topped with slowly cooked tomatoes and roses made from filo roses)
- Badrijani, Georgian aubergine rolls filled with walnuts and khmeli-sumeli spice
- Kurnik (celebratory layered pie)

Rosehip and Rye is ideal for intimate weddings, and would love to discuss your vision for your special day. We offer a full-service catering experience and can arrange to bring servers, glassware, cutlery, china, and drinks to your event. We can also deliver the food and allow you to take care of your guests if you wish.
