Great experience with Ridgway who catered our wedding at Dunwood Hall in September 2024. Throughout the planning process they were really responsive, happy to answer all our questions and supported us with some last minute changes. The food itself on the day was delicious. Fabulous canopes, amazing 3 course dinner and then pizzas and buffet in the evening. Everything was great and we had so many compliments. We even had some guests say it was the best beef they had ever had! They also provided all our drinks and a bar in the evening so everything was seamless. Great service all around, thank you for making our day so special!

Wow, what a fantastic service we had from Ridgeway caterers, our wedding was enhanced by the fabulous food and service provided by their team. The food was superb and our guests are still complimenting us over a fortnight after the event. We would highly recommend Ridgeway without a shadow of doubt and would like to thank all of their team again for making our wedding such a fantastic event.

We were thoroughly impressed with Ridgeway’s catering services. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was impeccable. The team worked seamlessly with the venue, and we appreciated the use of high-quality cutlery and tableware.

While there was a slight miscommunication regarding flexibility, which caused some initial stress, the issue was resolved to our satisfaction. The final outcome was excellent, and we were very happy with the overall experience.

Ridgeways were by far one of the best suppliers used at our wedding! The food was incredible, the service was on time and professional. Many people commented how good the food was, especially the oatcake starter that we chose.

The portions served are great, you get plenty of food for your money and nobody left hungry!

As soon as my husband and I knew we could still get married, we also found out the day itself had to change. Along with the food we originally chose. We didn't know this until 5 weeks before the wedding. I spoke to Ridgway Caterers and not only were they not worried about the last minute change, but they were more than happy to accommodate what we needed.
The food they produced was absolutely gorgeous. All our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it. Most importantly, I am lactose and gluten intolerant. Not only were Ridgway Caterers able to accommodate for my intolerance, but they made sure I didn't miss out on any of the food available. My husband and I would recommend Ridgway Caterers to anyone after the best food and has anyone in their wedding party that has an intolerance to certain food.

Ridgeway caterers were absolutely fantastic from start to finish! From prompt email responses, to a glamours first tasting session, to the beautiful final meal on the day. I could not recommend them enough! Thank you so much for making our reception so magical - Jenny and Sam.

Ridgway did a great job of looking after us. Half of our guest list were dairy and gluten-free and they helped us devise a menu that was safe for everyone. Their team were on it on the day, meaning everyone got to eat great food stress-free.

From start to finish Ridgeway Caterers were , professional, friendly and always on hand to answer questions and advise honestly.

The food was so tasty and fresh and the staff were so happy for us and our guests, taking a genuine interest in everyone and our day .

The prices were very reasonable and there was no effort in having to decide things, they were there every step of the way. There was no rush in payments either everything was so relaxed .

On the day myself and my Fiancé had been so busy checking our guests were ok that we hadn't got around to eating our evening pizza , we went to pick up some slices and the caterers insisted we had a fresh serving .

Afterwards they boxes up remaining food for our guests.

We had lovely feedback from our guests at the food, they loved the pork baps we had earlier in the day and allergens and dietary requirements were all accommodated and there were even extra portions they had for one of our toddler guests

Ridgway were absolutely top notch on our special day. The food was amazing and service exceptional. The pre-wedding admin was also fantastic and I would recommend Ridgway caterers all day long and twice on a Sunday!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for helping to make our wedding day so special. The canapés and wedding breakfast were so nice, we had lots of great feedback from our guests. It all ran very smoothly and we really appreciate all the hard work that went into it before the day and on the day itself. And achieving all of that with such a tiny kitchen area too is amazing!

We would definitely recommend you to anyone looking for caterers for an event!

Ridgway rang me to reassure me that they would be attending as one of my other suppliers had let me down on the day, so we were panicking about all the others, turned up on time with no fuss ready to go, Made more than enough to support all our guests, the burgers and loaded fries got lots of positive reviews, then when they were leaving, they boxes up all the left overs into boxes and then brought into the venue for our guests to eat or take home.

I can not rate Ridgway enough!
From price to communication to service on the day, they were exceptional.
I booked them for my wedding, and they couldn't have made it more simple and easy for me, they arrived in plenty of time and set up quickly and got straight on without any questions or fuss.
The pizzas themselves were prepared and cook perfectly! Every guest made comments of how delicious it all was!
They catered to my mother's gluten free wonderfully.
I have zero complaints, the team was truly a pleasure to have there.

We had no choice but to use this company for our wedding as they were the only caterers our venue worked with.
Luckily they seemed friendly and the food we had at our trial tasting was delicious.
However, when it came to our big day, months later I’m still left feeling upset, regretful and disappointed.
The first of the main 2 reasons for this was that we chose a ‘bespoke’ package, for which we paid a lot for, specially so that we could choose exactly what we wanted (I appreciate this isn’t the case for all couples but food in general and the type of food served on our big day is/was HUGELY important to us). For one of the mains, we chose a ‘mock beef style’ burger with melted cheese - we were very specific that we did not want any kind of bean or spicy burger, we described want we wanted and sent multiple reference photos so we were relieved when our trial of the burger was exactly what we wanted.
However, on the big day what did they serve to our guests… a spicy bean burger! Not only did they serve the exact thing we didn’t want but they didn’t even inform us of this before the wedding or on the day! After our wedding day we of course relayed our upset and tried to convey how important it was to us but we were met with a don’t care attitude such as ‘well it wasn’t communicated properly internally’ and ‘some of the guests enjoyed and ate the burger’ which isn’t the point at all when we chose a bespoke package for OUR wedding!? Eventually after multiple attempts at contacting, explaining to different staff members it seems the owner didn’t particularly care either and refunded us the difference (which they clearly weren’t even going to do anyway even though they served a cheaper option) but nothing in the way of compensation or genuine apology for ruining one of the main courses of our wedding meal.
Secondly, they only left the buffet out for a very short period of time… maybe an hour/hour and a half. Again, beforehand we explained the environment was very important to us and we wanted minimal impact and thus to waste as little food as possible. There was a lot of buffet food because we still had to pay for the guest’s who couldn’t attend meals and so we added that food to the buffet in a hopes that it would get eaten. Unfortunately, a lot of guests didn’t have enough buffet food or any at all as it was packed up. We asked why it was taken away and they advised the maid of honour told them to which is a total lie, when we advised this wasn’t the case they then said the groom said to which was another lie! Finally they just said they thought ‘someone’ told them to pack it away which was a mistake but there was no compensation and/or no genuine apology. Luckily I had asked for it to packed away (we took home trays, upon trays, upon trays of food it was an absolutely ridiculous amount!) otherwise it would have all gone in the bin which is just disgusting.
All in all, nearly half a year later I’m still left feeling so sad about these things that but a dampener on the biggest most important day of our lives and thus I would not recommend this company.
