Alysha helped us with a mid-sized backyard family naming ceremony for my nephew in North London. It was a lovely intimate ceremony and she really captured the inputs of various family members in her welcome address. Alysha was friendly, very easy to work with and made the ceremony feel just perfect for us. Highly recommended.

Don't even think about booking another celebrant/officiant! Patricia was absolutely incredible, our day would not have been the same without her. Patricia emanates experience in the wedding industry that is invaluable - she not only advised us on our ceremony but on many other aspects of the day, including asking very relevant questions to our original venue, which we hadn't thought of ourselves. She created a beautiful, moving and funny ceremony and her delivery was impeccable. Every person in the room was engaged and following our story - there was so much emotion in the room. Patricia could be reached promptly whenever we needed, was so organised and responsive, irreplaceable for support with logistics on the day as she also acted as our MC and helped organise guests for formal photos. Most importantly, we just loved spending time with her - we felt from the first meeting that we had found a new friend and that Patricia felt genuinely invested in our day. It meant so much to have her as our officiant. Patricia captured and surpassed what we wanted from the ceremony and wedding day and took the time to properly get to know us. She was upfront with us about important decisions that contributed to the day - for example I had assumed bridesmaids and groomsmen would stand with us during the ceremony, she was firm about not asking bridesmaids to stand in heels for half an hour which I'm sure they appreciated! And it meant that everyone was not only comfortable but could feel fully invested in the ceremony and our photos are beautiful! We laughed over Patricia responding to an email from us that we'd sent a few days before the wedding at 3.30am (it was a stressful week!) saying "Guys - go to bed" and really appreciated the support. We completely feel like without such a beautiful and personal ceremony, the rest of our day would not have been filled with so much emotion and excitement. It set the whole tone for our day. We are so happy we did not just book a registrar like some of our friends (we had a micro legal wedding in church separately) - it is just not possible to get the same personal touch, freedom for any music or readings you want and absolutely invaluable advice on structuring the ceremony and the day. We were also so happy to see Patricia enjoying the company of our friends and family while MCing our ceremony, introducing our speeches and cake cutting and first dance. There were no awkward moments - they ran seamlessly together with Patricia's warmth and she responded personally to each speech which so added to the emotion and laughter of this part of the day. Do not hesitate about booking Patricia - we will be recommending her to absolutely anyone we know having a wedding, naming ceremony or anything requiring an officiant. She is the perfect mix of warm and creative with organised and reliable, and we could not have imagined our day with anyone else - there is no better celebrant! TLDR - Dave is amazing, book him. Link to him in action on our day at the end! Longer version - When we first started planning a wedding I had never even though that our day would have a celebrant! Thanks to the pandemic we ended up eloping and having a second wedding later on which is where Dave came in. I honestly would recommend any couple to look into having a celebrant. We massively lucked out with our registrar and because it was just us two for our elopement, it really did have that personal edge to it. However, not all registrars are born equal, and you don’t get a choice! With our second wedding we wanted to have the ceremony but we also wanted to have it our way and not feel like a fake wedding just for the sake of it! We had spent our honeymoon budget on our elopement, lost deposits from suppliers because of the pandemic so we really had to make sure we got things right! We were put off with celebrants at first most seemed serious and professional. Dave is both of those things mixed with a modern and fun twist. He was so responsive over social media, quick on emails and patient with us when it came to us responding, even the gentle reminders for payment deadlines were perfectly delivered! The initial video call was relaxed, our child and dog made an appearance. It was a real family affair! Dave took from that and incorporated both in to our ceremony, adding personalise vows to them both! On the day he turned up early welcomed our guests, didn’t run away or clock watch when I was late. Stayed after for photos and a chat with our guests. I know we were paying him BUT never did it feel like a business transaction, no part of your wedding ever should. The ceremony was from start to finish personal to us, we were shown drafts, allowed to make changes, and our suggestions were taken on board. Nothing was too big of an ask. Lynn's professionalism and commitment to making our wedding day perfect was second to none. She took the time to understand our story and worked closely with us to ensure everything was just right. Not only was the process a very enjoyable one (as it gave my wife and I a great chance to reflect on our relationship), the outcome on the day far exceeded our expectations as Lynn's delivery was both heartfelt and humorous. Choosing a Humanist Celebrant for your ceremony gives you so much more flexibility and meaning and Lynn really makes the most of this. I would highly recommend her services to anyone.
