I don't even know where to start writing this review, it's taken me a month to put the words together and I think part of the reason for that is because I don't want to admit that its all over now, if you're considering a humanist or celebrant led wedding ceremony then you won't regret choosing Helen.
Every video call, meeting, and email conversation with Helen brought a smile to my face, she guided us through wedding planning with all of her valuable experience and knowledge (her initial questionnaire alone was better than any wedding planning guide online or the journal I bought!)
By the time our wedding day came around Helen felt like a friend and it just made sense that she was the one to be stood up there with us in front of all of our friends and family, telling our story better than we could ever tell it ourselves.
Our entire wedding day was perfect, but out of everything we chose, the thing we received the most compliments on from guests was Helen delivering our ceremony.
It was so important for us to have our three daughters involved, the day was just as much for them as it was for us and Helen understood this straight away and was on board with making the ceremony special for them and including them, she even had a video call with our eldest a couple of weeks before the wedding to settle her nerves and discuss the reading that Helen had found for her.
Helen's attention to detail is amazing, she listened to everything we said and created our dream ceremony as though it was the easiest thing in the world, it must be scary to present a couples own story back to them as a script but I'll never forget the first time I read it and we will cherish that script for the rest of our lives, Helen couldn't have got it more perfect for us.
In the ceremony she made everyone feel welcome and relaxed just like we hoped, it came naturally to her, she has found what she is meant to do and I'm so happy that she was such a huge a part of our day.

Absolutely Fantastic! Helen is Brilliant, me and my now Wife aren't religious at all so we wanted a humanist ceremony and after speaking with Helen via video call we knew straight away she was the one!

What she wrote was genuinely amazing, informative yet comical and it was great hearing our guests talk about it afterwards as they loved hearing about our story as someone of them didn't know exactly how we met etc a lot of our guests had never been to a humanist ceremony and said it was far more interesting than a religious one!

What was also great is Helen can control the room, sometimes at weddings things can get a little hectic with no one listening and people trying to get involved but Helen laid down the law and took charge which made things run very smoothly!

If I were to ever get married again ( hopefully not, as it's only been a month haha ) I would 100% book Helen again!

Without a shadow of a doubt, choosing Helen to be our celebrant was one of the best decisions we could have made for our wedding. We both knew we wanted a celebrant led ceremony, and Helen not only met our expectations but absolutely surpassed them. She took the time to get to know us, and really managed to reflect this in her script. Her writing is beautiful, she made sure to give thoughtful insight into both of us individually and as a couple, while injecting humour and light hearted moments too. We truly feel Helen’s words, helped us to be vulnerable and open in our vows, as we both felt safe and inspired to do so. We felt at ease with Helen straight away and I know that’s how our loved one’s felt throughout the ceremony - despite not meeting her in the way we had, which I think says such a lot and is a testament to Helen’s warmth and skill as a celebrant. The feedback we have had, both on the day and since, only reinforces how brilliant we think Helen is.

Helen was amazing from start to finish. The vows were personalised perfectly and Helen was professional and extremely personable from start to finish. She made us feel incredibly comfortable to share personal details at what was for us a very emotional time for lots of reasons.
We had a few special requests which Helen accommodated without hesitation.

We organised the wedding from the other side of the world and nothing was too much for Helen, over numerous meetings and chats over a cuppa tea, we got to share our story and shape our ceremony into more than we could have imagined. Helen was an absolutely amazing celebrant, we couldn't have imagined getting married by anyone else! We feel like she really got to know us during our initial meet-up - so when she showed us the first draft of our script it was already so personal and special to us, it brought a tear to me eye! We didn't change much from there, but when we did want to tweak or add something Helen was always so responsive and willing to make it happen.

At first we had no idea what we wanted, but Helen's suggestion to include a handfasting was a great idea, it really helped us involve other guests outside the bridal party and groom party. That really helped get our ideas flowing - we're very quirky, humorous and laid back, and Helen was so helpful in listening to our other suggestions. Our idea to add in a "burrito duel" with foam burritos to decide who read their vows first really made it feel like *our* ceremony with our personalities stamped all over it, which was exactly what we dreamed of!

The ceremony was delivered superbly on the day and all went according to plan. Our wedding day just felt perfect and Helen was such a crucial part of making it happen, getting the party started in the best possible way! We would absolutely recommend her!

Helen was awesome! She made the entire experience memorable from meeting in our home to find out about us to conducting an unforgettable ceremony. Helen is incredible!!!!!!! It was a strange chain of events that led us to meet Helen (a cancelled wedding, a cancelled humanist) but I firmly believe it was meant to be and I'm so grateful everything aligned as it did. From the first conversation with Helen on Zoom, I just really, really liked her. She was personable, friendly, helpful and kind. It felt like she just got us and what we wanted. She also helped us to realise what we wanted when we were struggling for ideas/ answers. The sit down chat took three hours and the time flew. It was like catching up with an old friend over a brew and we felt so comfortable opening up about our lives with Helen. My husband isn't the touchy feely type but Helen managed to get him to open up in a gentle way. We laughed alot and the whole process was fun and exciting.
Our finished ceremony was everything we wanted, and more. There were last minute changes which Helen handled without issue, everyone felt so welcomed by her and she delivered the most personal, meaningful service. Everything was there; who we really are, what is really important to us, a laid back atmosphere, lots of laughs and some surprises too! I had arranged a magician to surprise my husband as part of the service, only telling Helen and my son who "lost the rings" as part of the show! It was brilliant! Helen had made contact with Chris ahead of the ceremony and it was seamless! She also surprised me with a signed copy of a Donna Ashworth poem that I had chosen as our reading; blown away that she had gone to the extra effort to do that for me... it is framed on our wall as a lovely reminder of our day. We also had whiskey shots, a live song from my dad and our cockapoo present at the ceremony. It was everything we hoped for.
I cannot recommend a humanist ceremony enough. Every word was bespoke, everything represented who we are and what our marriage means. It felt comfortable and personal and meaningful.
Helen practically facilitated every step, but she also became someone I looked to for inspiration and advice. Her belief in the humanist movement, the personal touch and of really knowing people as individuals stood out. She was amazing and, like the service everything I hoped for. I'll never forget it and I'm forever grateful to Helen.

Helen is such a warm and lovely person who did the most incredible job of working with us to create a beautiful ceremony for our wedding. We couldn’t have asked for more. She spent three hours with us listening to the story of our relationship, which was a wonderful experience we both really enjoyed. We immediately felt we could open up and discuss the intricacies of our relationship and life together. From there she produced an amazing script and delivered it beautifully on the day - our guests were thought it was the best ceremony they’ve ever attended. We don’t know how she managed to come up with a script that was so perfectly ‘us’ after spending three hours listening to us talk. Every detail was perfect and she understood us so well. She is also full of great ideas if you’re not sure where to start with planning your ceremony or what you’d like to include - we wouldn’t ever hesitate to recommend her. Thank you so so much Helen!! We were looking for a celebrant who was beyond just some pre-scripted narration and could truly make our ceremony bespoke and personalised to us and our relationship. We came across Helen after doing a search via Google, and believe me I’d spoken to a number of people by this time.
My first observation following my initial call with her, is that Helen was so personable and relatable. Having not done this before, it was a little daunting because we weren’t quite sure what we wanted and what to expect from a celebrant. She made it extremely easy for us, and the biggest thing was that she was actually interested and cared.
Her style of connecting with us and getting to know us, our journey, what matters to us, what messages we wanted to convey was ….well very natural and it felt like we were talking to a friend.
She created a script that brought everything we had hoped for to life. It was so personal and to put it simply so ‘Us’.
On the day, her presentation was both personable and professional, and the ceremony really touched the hearts of all of our guests, and we had so many comments around what a beautiful ceremony it was.
We truly couldn’t recommend Helen enough.

We both cannot thank Helen enough for such a personalised, thoughtful, and beautiful ceremony. Before planning our wedding, we didn’t really know much about humanist celebrants but having had the ceremony we wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Planning a wedding with a new baby was stressful but Helen was very supportive and made the process so easy for us. She went to great lengths to clarify what sort of ceremony we would enjoy and also to get to know us personally. It really felt like someone was conducting the ceremony who had known us for years. Throughout the whole process she was helpful and warm and brought many suggestions to enable us to agree a beautiful ceremony.

Our initial contact with her was via video call and her warm, positive nature, instantly attracted us to choose her as our celebrant, we had spoken to a couple but Helen stood out as who we wanted.

We meet up face to face a few weeks later, where we began to talk through our story, we knew we’d made the right decision. Sharing our life’s story with Helen was so easy. It was like meeting up with an old friend for a catch up. .

After this meeting, Helen gave us her timeline up to the big day of when first draft would be ready etc. She always worked to schedule, allowing us to make changes along the way, not that many were needed in that first meeting she captured everything!

Helen arrived with plenty of time on the day. Greeting all of our family and friends as they arrived and talking those involved in the ceremony through everything they needed to know. When the moment finally came, Helen delivered our ceremony with the same warmth and joy we’d experienced on our first meeting, but this time our family got to join in. It was exactly what we had wanted and envisioned our ceremony to be.

Following the ceremony, Helen took the time to once again speak to both of our families, as well as joining us for a photo to capture the wonderful moment, before she then left us to enjoy the rest of our day. We will always remember everything Helen did to make the build up and the day, so special for us. It really was more than we could have hoped for and can’t thank her enough for being apart of our day!

I’ve had the opportunity to work with Helen on a couple of occasions and each time has been a joy. Helen is brilliant at bringing your personality and story into your wedding ceremony making everything unique to each couple. Helen will put your wishes first even if that means conducting a ceremony outside in light rain!
