Hi, I’m Christie – a Yorkshire-born, Cape Town-raised romantic at heart, now happily living in Leeds with my wonderful husband, John, and our children. My own wedding inspired me to follow my passion, and now I get to help couples create the most meaningful, personal ceremonies – and I love every moment of it!

So, what is a celebrant? In the UK, a celebrant is someone who designs and delivers bespoke, non-legally binding ceremonies, completely tailored to YOU. Unlike a registrar, I’m not bound by scripts or legalities, which means your ceremony can be as unique, romantic, fun, or traditional as you wish. Whether in a woodland, on a beach, in a barn, in a hall or even at home – you choose the place, the words, and the meaning behind your ceremony.

As a celebrant, I take the time to get to know you and your story, ensuring your ceremony is relaxed, heartfelt, and truly reflects your love. Whether you want handfasting, tree planting, sand pouring, or something completely different, I’ll help craft a ceremony that feels just right for you.

I welcome all couples – LGBTQ+, interfaith, multi-cultural, or non-religious – ensuring that your love is celebrated in a way that feels authentic and inclusive. Your love, your way.
