Michelle Knight is a trained independent celebrant based in East Yorkshire, England.

Although based in Yorkshire, Michelle can travel across the UK to provide custom celebrant services. She offers non-religious ceremonies, as well as those in a wide variety of faiths.

Michelle offers free initial in-person, telephone or Zoom consultations where you can discuss ideas that will make your ceremony meaningful for you.

What style of ceremony inspires you... simple and stylish, extravagant, themed?

Where would you like your ceremony to be... at home, in castle ruins, in a barn, up a mountain, in a woodland?

When would you like your ceremony to take place... morning, afternoon, early evening, midnight?

The good news is that with me, the how, where and when is completely your choice. I can create any kind of couples ceremony, completely customised to your tastes.

Weddings, Civil Partnerships, Renewal of Vows, Engagements, Commitment Ceremonies, or any other kind of couples ceremony you would like, I would love to be part of it.

As celebrants don’t handle the legal proceedings of a marriage or civil partnership (see my FAQs), there is no restriction associated with licensed premises, so you can hold your ceremony anywhere you choose.

You’re also not limited in terms of timings or content – so if you’d like to include a handfasting, jumping the broom, feet bathing, unity candles, prayer, cocktail (yes, I did just say, would you like to include a cocktail?!)… you name it, I can do it!

Your vows or promises to each other, can be as romantic or as light-hearted as you wish, and I am more than happy to help, or even write them for you!

If you want family, friends, or even your pets to play a part, I can make that happen too.

There are so many stylish, romantic and fun things you can do to put your own individual mark on your ceremony, and I would love nothing more than to craft something completely unique to you.
