We found Nat while looking into alternative ceremonies for our UK celebration after having had our legal ceremony overseas. We really liked the idea of a ceremony that would be unique to us. From the first email we could feel Nat’s amazing cheerful energy. She was incredibly responsive and transparent about her charges. We shared our concerns about complex family dynamics, and she reassured us that this is her bread and butter as the heightened emotions around weddings often brings out family dramas. Her “homework” helped us to reflect on our journey and what was most important to us in depth amidst a stressful time in our lives (we were changing jobs and moving countries at this point). She was able to manage my brother who has ASD and helped to regulate our/family stress during the rehearsal and on the wedding day itself. She had some clever tactics to keep our ceremony phone-free, which gave us especially lovely photos! We had a truly memorable handfasting ceremony and are extremely grateful for her help and support in the lead-up and on the day itself. The first thing people tell me about my wedding, is that my wife is stunning (boast over). Followed immediately by how beautifully, effectively and naturally, Nat brought the story of the love my wife and I have for each other to life.
And really that's what our wedding day is supposed to be about, how much we love each other. Nat spent a great deal of time learning about us as individuals, and what made us a couple. What gave us great confidence was that she even set us homework! Always in communication, and working in collaboration with our other suppliers, Nat was an intrinsic and invaluable part of our day.

I knew before I got engaged that I would want a celebrant wedding. I work in the wedding industry myself and I know how incredible these ceremonies are, especially compared to the repetitive, boring offerings from the registry office. I thought it would be a tough sell to my partner though, knowing we'd have to do the legal bit separately from our wedding day and as he'd never seen a celebrant wedding before. Thankfully as soon as he spoke to Nat he was absolutely convinced and wanted her to be part of our day as much as I did.

I chose Nat because she really is the celebrant everyone talks about. She was very highly recommended to me and even though I hadn't seen one of her ceremonies, I knew she'd do us proud.

The homework she gave us was actually amazing. It made us actually sit and think about why we're getting married, what it means to us and what we love about each other. An introspective look at marriage that I feel everyone should go through and made for a wonderfully personal ceremony. We loved getting to know her through meeting up and email chats, and we received the draft ceremony when we were at a festival. We quickly escaped the crowd to read it together on a tiny phone screen, under a tree. It was a lovely moment I really treasure. She'd managed to capture so many lovely elements through our random scrawling of our relationship and history together. The perfect balance of funny and personal.

I was really nervous about writing my own vows. I'd read lots of advice online and felt like I wasn't actually getting it. A quick chat with Nat settled my nerves as she reminded me I was overthinking it. She took my ideas and managed to bundle them into a lovely, neat package of vows and it was done.

On the day, she was a lovely presence to have around, full of cheer and also putting everyone at ease. She's an expert at managing the audience and making sure everything runs perfectly. That everyone knows when to laugh, when to cheer and when to drink a shot of rum ;)
