Where can we begin with Janet! With only 3 weeks notice, she dropped into our lives and took over the ceremony planning with professionalism and grace. She took the short notice in her stride and never made us feel like we were asking a lot or being unreasonable. She produced a really special ceremony that had us wondering how she had got to know us so well in that time! She took care to organise all the components that were special to us while engaging the whole room throughout the ceremony. Despite the very short run up, all of our guests congratulated us on what a special and personal ceremony it was. We had our wedding on October 20th at Kew Gardens and decided to hire Janet just a month before the big day—a fairly last-minute decision, but one we are incredibly grateful for. From the moment we visited Janet's personal website, her passion for her work and dedication to creating meaningful ceremonies were clear.
Our initial meeting with Janet was fantastic; she took the time to explain every aspect of her service in detail, making us feel immediately at ease. Throughout the planning process, Janet was incredibly attentive, taking the time to get to know us as a couple. Her thoughtful questions and genuine interest in our story helped her craft a ceremony that truly reflected who we are.
Janet guided us through every step, simplifying the process and removing much of the stress that can come with planning a wedding ceremony. Her professionalism, warmth, and experience shone through every interaction.
On the day itself, Janet delivered a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony that exceeded our expectations. It was a complete success, and we are so glad we made the decision to work with her.

My husband Nick and I got married on the 21st of September 2024. We are UK citizens who live in Canada and were travelling back to England to get married and share our day with family and friends. From the beginning Janet was warm and kind, she made us feel very comfortable. She was considerate of the time difference and made setting meetings up easy and hassle free.
My husband and I aren’t centre of attention people, funny us getting married and we had quite a lot of people at the wedding! Janet made things super easy and less nerve wrecking by sending us a simple questionnaire which we filled out to help her understand our story which she compiled into a beautiful ceremony.
On the day of the ceremony was heartwarming and personal and Janet even added a story that she had asked if we wouldnt mind her adding at the end, we surprisingly related to this story really personally (Dino arms - if you remember Janet haha!).
We had so many of our guests say how wonderful Janet was with putting our love and story into words. We were so overjoyed with Janet and are grateful that she was able to give us a forever memory on the best day of our lives. Janet made our day beautifully personal. She was lovely and engaging from our very first interaction. She sent us questionnaires to fill out, helping her learn a bit of our history and understand us as individuals. We received a rough draft of her speech in advance, allowing us to review and personalize it further if we wanted.
She held back a few details, so we enjoyed some really sweet surprises on the day, which we loved (though if you’d prefer all the information upfront, she’s happy to share it). Janet was a joy on the day, and the ceremony went beautifully. We’ve received so many compliments, with guests saying it was the most personal ceremony they’d ever attended.
We would recommend Janet in a heartbeat. She’s amazing, and we hope you have her on your special day too!Janet Shell Ceremonies's reply:

Absolutely Incredible
Janet Shell was incredible; she made our ceremony truly memorable. We had an interfaith ceremony held in Middle Temple garden, and Janet was the most amazing celebrant anyone could wish for. From the moment we met Janet, we were extremely excited for our ceremony. We wanted it to be personal but were also nervous about speaking in public, and she put us both at ease.
Janet made our ceremony fun and personal, and we would have been lost without her leading the way in our hymn. She went above and beyond; we had briefly met the composer who wrote the song I walked down the aisle to in an airport, and Janet even managed to get a beautiful message from him. Janet also helped us write our vows and my husband’s speech, which made the day even more special. We feel so lucky to have had Janet lead our day and would highly recommend her. Janet was wonderful!
Janet was exactly who we were looking for to hold our wedding ceremony. We warmed to her from the very first meeting, and she was happy to take a script that we had written ourselves, which she added her own words and personality to - and it was perfect. On the day she added a joy and warmth to the ceremony that made it so very special. Her delivery was just wonderful. We were so happy to have found her, and I highly recommend her! Janet Shell is the most splendid and delightful celebrant that anyone could possibly wish for. Janet's celebration of our wedding was absolutely superb! With her infectious charm, perfect recitation, and singing (we asked her to sing a song at the end - chef's kiss to her!), she made our wedding so very memorable.
My wife and I sincerely recommend her without hesitation! She was so wonderful, in fact, that one would almost want to renew vows annually with Janet.Janet Shell Ceremonies's reply:

She made our day
Janet was the celebrant at our wedding in November 2023. From the first meeting, which was arranged very quickly, Janet was warm, attentive and above all, understanding of all our needs.
Janet perfectly captured our relationship and delicately addressed the losses we had recently faced with ease.
The service Janet delivered was a true reflection of not just our love but also the love we shared with our guests. It was incredibly personalised and held everyone’s attention. Not to mention very funny in parts!
Janet’s interaction with the guests was wonderful and made everyone feel included.
Janet took time to research and elaborate on things we had mentioned were special to us. She went above and beyond to tailor our ceremony.
We married onboard a boat on the Thames and Janet attended without any fuss or issue. The whole journey with Janet from start to finish was smooth sailing (no pun intended!).
A huge hit with our guests, a warm, caring, understanding and vibrant lady. Janet made our day and we’ll be forever thankful.
We can’t recommend her enough.

Janet was so kind and flexible during the writing process for our ceremony. We loved her questionnaire used to help create our ceremony, and had so much fun filing it out as it gave us time to reflect and share our genuine thoughts and experiences together as a couple. Throughout the entire experience, she was available if we needed, made adjustments where asked, and overall created an excellent ceremony that flowed so beautifully and allowed us such an incredible space to share our vows and stories with all our friends and family.
