Hello! Thank you for taking the time to look at our Celebrants page for South Downs Celebrants. We are Amanda & Corrine, two professionally trained Civil Celebrants, based in Worthing. West Sussex. We love looking after our coules, getting to know all about you, and bringing your stories to life throughout your wedding ceremony. Bringing a wealth of people skills to the role both Amanda and Corrine specialise in excellent customer service.
We would love to get to know you, hear all about you as a couple, help you build and compose your love story to ensure that your wedding starts with amazing celebrations. A bespoke personalised service, written just for you. There are no boundaries or restrictions for a celebrant led service, it truly is all about you.
The benefits of choosing a Celebrant are many. A Celebrant brings individuality; we are lucky, we get to know our couples and invest time into writing a bespoke service just for them. We aren't rushing off to be somewhere else. Each ceremony is personal to the couple, it’s not an 'insert name here' template of a ceremony. We get to know you, understand your vision and values, and we want to give you a unique, personal experience. During your service you will sign a commemorative certificate that you can be photographed with as you complete it, so your service flows.
Most couples consider the day they host their celebrant ceremony and reception to be their "official" wedding day, not the day of the formal registration, which is a legality. If you were to compare the birth of a baby and going to the registry office, you would then register the birth of the baby’s name. You wouldn’t however take with you your family and friends; you would hold a baby naming ceremony or a christening on a separate date in a location of your choosing.
It is the same with a wedding, why not register your marriage and then celebrate your wedding day how and when you would like it to be, with complete freedom of choice.
Registrars do an amazing job with all the legality, but we do the story telling, we bring laughter and joy, making your ceremony all about you.

The most fun day we’ve ever had!
The little touches like the love story was my favourite. It was such a personal touch that I didn’t think would get to me but needless to say I was in floods at the end of the aisle!
If I could do it all again tomorrow with her I would be there in a flash! Couldn’t recommend her highly enough! And she takes some cracking photos!

We had a lovely meeting a few months prior to the wedding where we reminisced on our story to date and Amanda listened intently. When writing our script for the ceremony, Amanda consulted with us multiple times to check we were happy with what was written and that she had understood correctly.
Amanda was always efficient, she would reply to our messages very quickly and if any changes were needed, she would make these straight away and send back to us. We always felt in good hands.
Amanda tailors her script entirely to the couple. We were really clear we did not want anything ‘cheesy’ and she completely respected this. She also suggested we took a shot during our ceremony, which as a couple in their mid 20s we loved this idea - and our guests really liked this aspect too.
We loved our ceremony and we look back with really fond memories. It was so special and personal.

Being two busy working parents we were determined all would be sorted by Christmas. Come April we still had a few things outstanding but Amanda was ever present.
Amanda wrote the most amazing script for the ceremony that truly reflected our outlook and involved our children which was important to us both.
