Hi, I'm Sue - and proud to be an Independent Celebrant working mainly in Dorset and Hampshire (but will travel!).

An independent celebrant is one who can create any ceremony, anywhere - with no rules to follow, no boxes to tick, and no preconceived ideas on the 'right' way to do it. It's always up to you whether you want a simple, intimate, 'stripped-back' ceremony, a big colourful one involving rituals and traditions to involve your family and friends, or anything in between. I can help you bring your ideas to life and suggest things you may have never thought of!

With a lifelong career in events and theatre, I bring those worlds together to create unique ceremonies that entertain and sparkle. If you’re looking for a celebrant who will write and deliver a ceremony with humour, warmth, and creativity – and with ridiculous attention to detail – I’m here for you. We’ll have fun together, and I promise your event will be one to remember.

I am passionate about inclusivity and truly believe everyone deserves to be respected for their authentic self. I’m an LGBTQIA+ ally and am honoured to officiate weddings and vow renewals for couples of any age, faith, sexuality, or gender. And naming ceremonies aren’t just for babies – if you have become your authentic self later in life, I am equally honoured to officiate renamings and transition celebrations.
