The Birds & The Bees is a UK-trained Independent Wedding & Funeral celebrant with National & International experience. Based between Carlisle, Cumbria & County Durham I am more than happy to travel anywhere in the world to ‘Bee’ your celebrant.
Inspired by a genuine affinity for people, I am devoted to creating bespoke ceremonies that reflect a couples unique love and journey.
My services are Ideal for those seeking a ceremony with a difference such as adventurous elopements, tipi or barn ceremonies, destination weddings, and all other events. No matter your background, culture, or beliefs, my goal is simply to give you the freedom to choose the right celebration for you.
Services Offered
The Birds & The Bees offers personalized packages for wedding ceremonies and vow renewals predominantly across the North West, North East, Yorkshire / Lancashire and abroad. With extensive experience working with clients and wedding planners across the UK & Dubai, UAE, I invite you to join me for a detailed consultation where you can share your thoughts, desires, and hopes.
From here, I will create and choreograph an entirely custom celebrant-led ceremony. You can opt to include symbolic elements such as sandblending, handfasting, or a candle ritual to name a few and of course, Family members and close friends are also welcome to participate in the event. A wonderful celebrant to work with!
Kerrie came as a recommendation from the beautiful Casterton Grange Estate and we are so glad that we chose her as our Celebrant!
From our first initial introductory call, we instantly knew that Kerrie was a good fit for us and we instantly felt a connection with her! She brings a lot of experience to the table and also such a wonderful sunny energy, with plenty of passion about what she does.
From beginning to end, Kerrie was on hand to answer any of our questions and gave us plenty of ideas to consider as to how we could personalise our wedding ceremony.
She really took the time to get to know us as a couple and captured the essence of us so well! Kerrie even wrote us a heartwarming poem about our love story which we were super delighted with!
On the day, Kerrie really helped make our ceremony go smoothly - it was beautifully delivered and felt so magical - we will really cherish the moment forever!
She also helped us organise an epic confetti throw, which gave us some incredible photos to share!
We can’t thank Kerrie enough for her hard work and highly recommend her - she will really be able to help make your wedding vision come to life! We wish Kerrie every success in her work as she really deserves it!

Just perfect from start to finish
Kerrie was just fantastic, great communication throughout and really got to know us as a couple which was reflected perfectly in the ceremony.
Kerrie was up for anything and fully flexed to allow the ceremony of our dreams!
All our guests were blown away by all the personal all touches, couldn't recommend highly enough!

Sentimental, thoughtful and the kindest soul
From the first moment we saw Kerrie's page. We instantly felt at ease and knew she was the one we wanted to deliver our special ceremony. We had a lot of sentimental touches that we wanted to be included in our wedding ceremony and Kerrie made them possible. Throughout the whole process Kerrie made us feel reassured, listened too and gave some great advice on what would make it a wonderful ceremony. There are lots of celebrants out there but Kerrie just makes you feel special, she has the most beautiful soul and throughout it all it didn't just feel like a stranger you were talking too but the feeling like she was apart of your family and friends and you have known her for years. Kerrie made sure that we had chance to check the ceremony prior to the day and make any tweaks we wanted to the script. Even little touches on the wedding day itself, from giving the grooms mum a fan when she was having a hot flush, providing tissues and just getting stuck in. She is so very talented and created lots of little personal poems for our bridal party during the ceremony which brought them all to tears and is still talked about regularly by our guests. Many of our guests have openly said it was the best ceremony they had been too because it was just simply 'us' and so personal to us, and we have Kerrie to thank for that.

Fantastic , thoughtful & kind
Kerrie is nothing short of amazing. She conducted our vow renewal ceremony and it was a thoroughly special experience. Kerrie was very kind, a total professional. We had our 4 kids with us and Kerrie worked really hard to include the children in our ceremony which was very special for us. We would recommend Kerrie for your special occasion x

Amazing ceremony - Thank you Kerrie
Kerrie was incredible to work with right from the start! We had an initial zoom call where she found out all about us and what was important to us. As the months went by she found out more about us both so that she could tailor our ceremony perfectly to us and our family. She included our children and really made them feel part of everything which was really important to us. I would 100% recommend having a celebrant led service and we received so many compliments about how incredibly unique and special our service was. We had lots of people in tears and full of love and emotion because Kerrie made everything so special for us. Thank you Kerrie…you really made our day so special.

Well, where do I even begin to Thank Kerrie.
Our journey started in Dubai back in 2019, where we instantly knew that Kerrie was “the one” she was warm, compassionate, honest and the best thing ever, she was Northern!
March 2020, 5 days before we were due to get married, pandemic struck all events cancelled. We were devastated, kerrie was our rock and couldn’t have been a better support and a friend during that time.
Fast forward 2 years of where/when/how conversations.. We decided to go for it and booked a wedding back home in the North east in 6 weeks time and could you believe it, Kerrie could do it for us! We were thrilled.
Amazing doesn’t cut, she took so mucj time with Aidan and I. Met us separately, together and communicated at each step. Kerrie even called our parents to get the whole picture of us, she goes the extra mile.. She really cares about people and its shines.
Our ceremony in February was more beautiful then I could have ever imagined. All our guests talked about was “the service” so personal, so unique and so us! Geordie and Scottish traditions brought together.
My Grandparents said never in their 85 years on earth have they witnessed something so beautiful and personal.
Thank you Kerrie for EVERYTHING!

Stop looking, she’s the best!!
Every aspect of the experience with Kerrie was amazing, making us feel comfortable and at ease at the beginning of the process to making the ceremony full of laughter and love. She even negotiated getting us inside when it started to rain right before my beautiful bride walked down the aisle. She’s truly amazing!!!

The most beautiful wedding ceremony
Kerrie did such an incredible job writing and delivering our ceremony. She managed to capture both of our personalities and our relationship so so well. The ceremony was absolutely perfect for us, she kept it light hearted but still super emotional and meaningful. She brought the memory of loved ones in to the ceremony in such a tasteful way, and made our families, bridal party and groomsmen feel very much a part of the ceremony. She was amazingly patient with the dogs and the little ones and so many people have told me how beautiful the ceremony was. There was lots of tears and lots of laughter, and we are left with the most beautiful memories that we will cherish forever. Her warmth and love really shone through. We really, really cannot recommend her enough!! Thank you Kerrie 🤍
