Hello
My name is Paul J Rose and I am a celebrant who came into this line work from a rather different angle. I've been a voice actor and presenter for many years and as a presenter, I've hosted award ceremonies, rock festivals, charity events - you name it. Crowd work just comes naturally to me and this lead to a number of people asking if I could be the MC of their wedding.
I'm not a licensed toastmaster, and they didn't need the red jacket, so it all worked well.
I can't think of a happier occasion than a wedding - it's truly when I get to experience all of the love and joy in the room. With that in mind, my wife suggested I look into becoming a celebrant, and it's quite possibly the best decision I'd ever made.
The chance to put together a ceremony which is completely unique and to capture a couple's story and share it in a way that makes people feel that I truly understand them - I really could not hope for a better job.
In truth, it's also hard for me to pinpoint my favourite part of the job. Lately, it's been the writing of the ceremony, as in the last week I received an email from a very happy bride to be who had just read the ceremony that I had created for her. She wrote, "Wow, this had me tearing up and laughing all the way through! You've done an amazing job at narrating our little love story!"
Another happy client - John - had this to say:
"It felt he was part and parcel of our family. Our guests were very impressed with him and said it was the best wedding they had been to. We thoroughly recommend Paul for any event you may have. He is versatile. Professional and extremely organised. His personality adapts to any function you may have. Thank you Paul. It was our pleasure for you to marry us."
I'm based in Hertfordshire and whilst the majority of my weddings have been in Herts, I've also married couples in London, Essex, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire too. That being said, if you're beyond London and the Home Counties I am more than happy to travel to be your celebrant.
I call myself The Celebrant MC because I'll be more than happy to stick around and MC your party afterwards as part of a complete package - saving you money and offering you and your guests a little more continuity as well.
So if you're worried that your celebrant might be a little too 'stuffy and old fashioned' then you need worry no more - let's talk about making the most of your very special day.
