We are Mark The Occasion Hire, a husband and wife team, offering Wedding Decor and 4ft LED Letter hire in Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. We are building our business from the ground up, based on what our lovely couples need, after we were married ourselves last year (October 2023) we wanted to make the planning and decorations as stress free as possible, we made our first Rustic LOVE set, and the rest is history.
We offer bespoke packages for almost all things wedding decor to help elevate your special day to be as memorable as it deserves. Most of our letters and rustic items are handcrafted by ourselves, so they are truly unique!
We offer standalone wedding focal points, from 4ft LED Letters, Flower and Rustic Arches and Flowerwalls, to Aisle and Centre Piece Decorations to Full Wedding Dressing Packages. We specialise in the 50-100 range but can cater to more depending on your needs.
We are 100% happy couple focused. No upselling, no trying to push you into packages you don't want or need, we want super happy couples, that leave amazing feedback and tell everyone we are brilliant so we get more work to follow, we only get that by striving to deliver on what we promise and overdelivering on value!

I contacted Mark in relation to hiring their archway for my wedding - ONE WEEK BEFORE!
And I could not thank these guys enough. They went above and beyond to help us on our special day and we also ended up hiring their lovely floral table displays as well as some other bits.
I would 100% recommend these to anyone getting married.
I can’t thank you both enough for your love and support up coming to our wedding day. Your decorations are amazing and so very well hand made!

Beyond my expectations!
I want to thank Mark, The Occasion Hire, for being part of my wedding journey. As we all know, wedding preparation can be stressful, but they helped me by giving me ideas for the venue's decorations. They are always answering questions or enquiries, prices are affordable, and they even make a very good deal, which is not easy to find somewhere else. And on top of that, they offer my husband and me a small gift for our wedding, which makes my heart melt and also makes this family business so unique! Perfect service to complete the perfect day
I can honestly say, that Mark The Occasion Hire, completed our perfect wedding by supplying their rustic ‘LOVE’ lighting to our reception venue.
It added the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos and made the dance floor perfect for our first dance. With the option to change the colours on the lighting it then added a fantastic feature for the evening party.
Our wedding would have been missing that special something if we hadn’t been offered such a fantastic deal by Mark The Occasion Hire and we could not recommend them enough to anybody looking for that special feature to complete their wedding.
The set up and commitment by them to make sure everything was ready to go will make us forever grateful for making our day that extra bit special. Again, we would highly recommend to anybody planning their perfect day and would 110% use them again for any upcoming event ❤️

Wedding Reception
Mark and his wife were absolutely fantastic on helping me and my newly married wife last Thursday, they helped us out so much and and went well out of there way to decorate our room we was having the reception, they drove from out of there radius as I was struggling to find someone in a short period of time that was left for the final touches.
There decorative are amazing and really bloomed the room massively, we also got a lovely gift from them also that was personalised to us also, that was also really lovely, I couldn’t recommend anyone else For there dedication and kindness, please get in contact with them as I can guarantee they will go above and beyond !
Thank you both for what you have done for us and you’ll be the first I’ll be contacting when there is another event and will be recommending you to everyone I know that will be having an event.

Amazing!!!
Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Lovely couple to deal with and they can’t do enough for you. Fab communication and prices are great. Couldn’t wish for a better company to go with and would use them again in a heartbeat. We had the arch, memory ladder and rustic LOVE letters. Just beautiful.

Something a little extra
After wanting to keep costs down to a minimum. Did all our own wedding and party decorations. Just felt something was missing for that added touch. Just browsing through and I saw a post about the LOVE lights for hire. Given that we had saved heaps on practically everything by doing our own from wedding invitations to the table centre pieces why not have that finish touch.
We was in contact with dates times and location and that was it. Great communication before and on the day. Couldn't have been happier
