Gloucestershire Magician Ltd - Richard Parsons is an award-winning wedding entertainer based out of Gloucester, Gloucestershire. He has performed at weddings for over 16 years with hundreds of happy couples! Richard is one of the UK's few totally full-time professional magicians and has delighted audiences in Spain, Italy, and Jersey. Gloucestershire Magician Ltd - Richard Parsons specialises in close-up magic and is happy to work at either the drinks reception or after the wedding breakfast. He will walk around the venue, mingling with guests as he performs. Richard will keep an eye out for any guests that seem alone and will encourage them to join a group to watch, ensuring no one feels left out. His repertoire of tricks that he has perfected over the years is family-friendly, crowd-pleasing and suitable for guests of all ages.

Although based in Gloucester, and despite the business name Gloucestershire Magician Ltd, Richard can and does travel out of region frequently and has performed at wedding venues across the UK and abroad. He is well known around the wedding venues of Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Worcestershire and The Cotswolds, and can discuss travelling to your venue too.

Other (Richard also specialises in entertainment pickpocketing which can be hilarious fun with your male guests....he has even been hired several times by Gloucestershire Police as an expert!)

Yes, although based in Gloucestershire, Richard can and does travel all over the UK and internationally. He has performed in Spain, Italy and Jersey

How long is the act?
Drinks Reception magic usually lasts 1.5 hours (90 minutes). Early evening Richard usually performs for 2 hours as there are extra evening guests. Or a 45 minute Parlour Show for very small weddings
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
Richard normally arrives approx 30 minutes before his start time and is ready to perform within about 10 minutes - no food or drink requirements (though a soft drink is always welcome!)

For the deposit invoice or balance invoice, BACS bank transfer is preferable or cheque. Deposit on booking, balance invoice is usually sent a week or two before your wedding or can be settled earlier

Just incredible!!

A Magical Gent!
Richard truly is a Magical Gentleman! We booked Richard for the evening entertainment at our wedding last week after meeting briefly at an event and instantly being blown away with his tricks and personality. All of our guests were astounded by his talent and are still talking about Rich now. If you are looking for a magician for any social event Richard is your man! Cannot recommend enough!

Gloucester Magician - Amazing!
Richard was fantastic from the first contact, the booking process was easy, communication was great and Richard moved his timing around to fall in with our day. Incredible magician
Richard was extremely professional to deal with before the wedding. He mingled so well with the guests and his magic tricks were out of this world! I literally could not believe my own eyes!! The wedding guests still talk about him now, several months later! He also injects lots of humour into his performance so he is an excellent all round entertainer. We are so glad we chose him for our wedding, and I would love to book him again if we ever have another suitable event.

Wonderful Wedding Wizard
Richard was at our wedding as part of the Evening Reception. Every guest came up to us to say how blown away they were by his magic and there were a few sceptics that were in awe of his magical prowess!

Richard was so clever and very engaging with all my guests. He involved everyone in his performance, with lots of jokes and fun. Amazing Magician, highly recommend!
Richard was brilliant to work with, he offered great advice before booking which really helped us to decide what option to go with for our wedding. As an indecisive bride it made it a lot easier for us! On the day Richard was fantastic and had all our guests and ourselves amazed. He was a great presence and we are so glad we booked him because he really provided the WOW factor. Highly recommend Richard for a wedding or any other event!

He⠹s a wizard!
Richard absolutely astounded our crowd at our wedding festival. He had us all gasping in disbelief at his tricks and was so funny and kind with adults and children alike. He even repeated tricks again for the skeptics (you know who). Everyone is still talking about him now and trying to work out how his magic is even possible!
