Ellen's Sweet Treats is a business in Carterton, Oxfordshire, providing delicious treats at wedding receptions and other special events. Ellen Close-McLean and the team supply a selection of truffles, brownie bites and shortbread biscuits, making the dessert table irresistible.

Services Offered

What started as a hobby during the lockdown of 2020 soon blossomed into a passion, and on May 22nd 2020, Ellen's Sweet Treats was born. They make a wide range of delicious snacks, from cakes, cupcakes and brownies to truffles and personalised shortbread biscuits. Ellen is keen to give any flavour a go and will always research techniques and recipes to fulfil her customer's desires. Ellen's Sweet Treats will delight guests on the wedding day, but these confectionary gems aren't just for special occasions. Ellen is happy to make cakes and other goodies for any reason her clients can come up with.

A minimum of a months notice is required when it comes to cakes & bakes for a wedding. But it is always better to book well in advance to secure your spot

I am always happy to deliver your order on your special day as long as I have a contact at your venue to hand them over to

Office hours are between 0800 - 1800 Monday to Friday, with some weekends worked dependant on demand

Simply Amazing!

Ellen’s creations are out of this world, having used her services at our engagement party - everyone talked about the cupcakes! Ellen was able to cater for all dietary needs. We have also booked Ellen’s services for our wedding. She’s super responsive, diligent and highly recommended!

The most amazing wedding cake.

Ellen was professional and friendly throughout the process of selecting, making and setting up our cake.
We had no idea what we wanted, but Ellen was so easy to talk to and provided us with lots of examples.
There was never any rush , she provided us with ideas and let us think about them and was more than willing to answer any questions.
She made the most beautiful and taste full wedding cake and set it uo at our venue for us ! It was great that she even sent a text to say it was all set up too.
We didn't want to cut the cake - it was beautiful.

There was no cake left, everyone had seconds.
I would highly recommend.
