Tangled Thistle Floral Design is a friendly, eco-conscious floral design service based in Herefordshire providing elegant and emotive, nature-inspired arrangements for intimate weddings and elopements.

Working with nature is at the forefront of Tangled Thistle's philosophy which is why, as it's owner, I strive to keep all single-use plastics to an absolute minimum and choose to source local British flowers wherever possible. I endeavour to make you feel uplifted on your big day, and to showcase just how beautiful nature really is.

Elopement service

I provide a complete elopement service to include personal flowers of your choice (e.g. bridal bouquet(s) / buttonhole(s) / flower crown(s) etc) and a creative floral installation at your elopement destination. Elopements are deeply intimate and personal, which is why I decided to develop this particular service to provide something extra special. This service can also be extended to include flowers for any celebrations you may have planned for afterwards. *Prices start at £400.

Wedding service

With Tangled Thistle your wedding flowers are created with purpose. You may want to make a feature of a particular area of your venue with an installation (such as a floral staircase, fireplace or an archway), or perhaps a statement tablescape for your wedding breakfast - if you're after impactful flowers, an installation is the way to go! But, if that's not quite what you have in mind, there are plenty of other options to consider, including bowl centrepieces, bud vases, and small-scale meadow flowers. Together we can figure out what will work best for you and your venue. *Prices start at £1,500.

Working with me

After your initial enquiry, we will arrange a meet-up to talk through your ideas and vision as well as covering some of the important details and logistics. This gives you the perfect opportunity to express your wishes in an informal, relaxed environment. It's great to share what it is you like and don't like, and what it is that you're drawn to, especially if you've got some conflicting ideas. This helps give me a better, fuller understanding of how I can bring your vision to life.

After meeting, I get straight to work designing your wedding flowers and will then send you a floral proposal along with your personalised quote. Once you're happy with these, I email you through a copy of the contract and, later on, your full, unique moodboard for you to keep and use for any further planning.
