The Design Process

Each ring begins with a design-consultation at their showroom.

All bespoke wedding rings are designed and handcrafted in-house by Aurum's own craftsmen.

Whether it is the simplest plain wedding band or something ornate and complex, your ring is designed so that it is perfect for you.

Aurum's craftsmen can also design a wedding ring to complement any engagement ring. It is important that the two rings look like they belong together. They can make it seem as though you had bought the two rings together as a matched pair.

Fitted wedding rings

This is a particular speciality for Aurum. If your engagement ring does not sit well with a straight wedding band, they can create a "fitted" wedding ring that will fit perfectly alongside it.

This looks neater, feels more comfortable, and reduces wear caused by the two rings rubbing against one another.

Matching wedding rings

Many couples like the idea of matching wedding rings. They can take a single design and tweak it to suit the requirements of both partners. They often produce pairs of rings that are quite different but that have a particular feature in common that makes them "match".

Jewellery remodelling

If you have some gold with sentimental value they can use it to create your wedding ring. Those precious inherited pieces can be turned into a brand new ring that you can wear every day.

You deal direct with one of the skilled goldsmiths from their on-site jewellery workshop, who will guide you through the design process.

After listening to any ideas you may have, they offer you as many suggestions and as much expert advice as you need. Then, they will come up with the design for a ring that is perfect for you.

Once you have arrived at the exact specifications for your ring, then they will be able to calculate a price for you.

The average turnaround time for a custom wedding ring is 6-8 weeks, although most customers order several months before their big day.
