I'm having the same issue as everyone else on this review thread. Initially communication was minimal, not the best company in terms of speedy responses but enough so that we were able to book them for our wedding pretty much hassle free. The day came and they arrived on time, set up swiftly and quietly and everything ran smoothly. The end of the night came and we were told that we were £300 short of hitting the minimum spend and that we had to pay the difference immediately (even though our deposit was £300, they insisted to my husband that they couldn't just keep it. We HAD to pay and they'd refund our deposit). This was 14/10/22, to this day still no refund, hardly any responses to our emails and they don't pick up the phone. This company is a SCAM and we will be fighting this. Disgusting customer service, what a cruel way to treat people who trusted and invested in your business and services.

It’s hard to find anywhere to write a review about this company. No active Facebook page etc. booked back July 2022 sometime. No problem great communication. Weeks before the wedding I sent an email checking everything was ok. No reply. Sent another email. Left voicemails. It wasn’t until I said if they didn’t contact me by a certain time that I had a reply that went to my junk inbox. Long story short we mutually cancelled as upon investigation it looked like the owner Tom cox has multiple company’s and some not active or gone under. On our cancelation of agreement we said we are happy to loose the deposit but agreed to pay back the security deposit for damage. No surprised 300 pounds not paid back. If I could shame this person/company more I would. We booked through the vintage bar company which comes under the unboxed drinks group. Looks like others have been unhappy but unfortunately like many probably only discovered after booking. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

We booked through Vintage Bar co. Everything was booked in over email and seemed fine until the actual event. Luckily they turned up, but the set up was nothing like we had been promised, they ran our of strawberry daiquiris after about two hours (even though I had requested it as the bride), didn’t even bring the coffee for the espresso martini so my dad had to leave the wedding to go home and made some (even though they set up an hour early and were 5 mins from Tesco they didn’t bother), they also ran out of vodka and ale and guests were walking around with iceless cocktails in normal tumblers as they ran out of cocktail glasses! We got no apologies on the night either. They knew the number of guests so should have prepared. Tom then refused to pick up the phone and the other numbers attached to the company don’t work, he gave multiple excuses to why our deposit couldn’t be refunded which can’t have all been true and we only got our money back after getting hold of his personal number (he still didn’t answer but we left voicemails), found him on LinkedIn, and emailed a lot. I really don’t think we’d have got it otherwise!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR ANY OF TOM COX’S COMPANIES! Tom has set up a few and all have non-working phone numbers and bad reviews. The companies are The Vintage Bar Co., Coxtails, Hunter & Grey Cocktails and Unboxed Drinks Group.

They did not reply to many emails only about our payments. Then they have since not given our security deposit back despite chasing emails and phone calls. Now website and all phone numbers have been removed. DO NOT USE!!
