About

The Alastair Scott Ceilidh Band is a four member ceilidh band based in Counties Antrim and Tyrone. The band was founded in 2004 by accordionists Amanda Robinson and Kenny Mitchell and have performed at a wide range of events since then of all types and sizes. Prior to each dance, the caller will explain how to do it. The band has public liability insurance, and all their equipment is PAT tested. They are members of the Musicians Union.

Services offered

You will receive a professional Ceilidh Band and Dance Caller. Typically, ceilidhs will last two hours until the evening buffet, but extra hours are available if necessary. The company provides their own PA system and lights. Their repertoire of Scottish Ceilidh Dances includes Gay Gordons, Strip the Willow, Virginia Reel, Canadian Barn Dance, Military Two Step, amongst others.

How they work

The band tends to end ceilidhs with Auld Lang Syne. They are open to travel and have performed throughout Northern and Southern Ireland and Scotland. Pricing for additional hours is discussed prior to booking.
