The Blue Hat Ceilidh Band have extensive experience of playing for weddings and all kinds of other events. Based in the North East of England, they are known for their dynamic, vibrant sound that’s guaranteed to get you and your guests up on your feet. The band have their own caller whose job is to explain and demonstrate all of the dances and continue to give instructions throughout the dance. Their caller is humorous and approachable, with the experience to adapt the night to suit every audience.

A ceilidh is a great way to get all your guests up and out of their chairs, dancing and laughing. You don't need to have done any ceilidh dancing before to have a great time. Ceilidh dancing is accessible to almost anyone, as most popular dances can be adapted for children and those with mobility issues or other disabilities. You'll be sure to be left with happy memories to cherish for years to come.

Services Offered

As standard, the Blue Hat Ceilidh Band provide a 4-piece band, caller, PA system (PAT Tested) and Public Liability Insurance. They will liaise with each client to tailor the timings and dances to fit in with your special day. They are very happy for clients to connect their own device to the PA system in order to play their own choice of music during breaks or for the first dance if desired.

Additionally, they can provide background music for ceremonies or drinks/photos later in the day in various combinations, from solo fiddle, duet/trio, right up to the full band.
