Hi, my name is Tom. Professional DJ, born and raised Popmaster, and passionate party starter. Congratulations on your engagement! I will personally work alongside you to create the perfect musical backdrop and soundtrack to your big day. Combining over 25 years of experience and expertise with your preferences, I can create a wonderful evening of great music, dancing and memories. Expertly selected music, blended and mixed to keep feet on the floor throughout the evening. All underpinned by the use of first class equipment hand picked to suit your venue's aesthetic. The end result bringing you a pleasurable listening experience both on and off the dancefloor. Stunning lighting to create a colourful atmosphere and energy on the dancefloor that ignites the party after dark. I am versed in all eras and main genres of music, and being a Generation X DJ, naturally fluent in all things 80s and 90s with a keen ear for everything else.

From evening to full day coverage.

In addition to an awesome evening party experience, I can assist with full coverage of your reception and ceremony. From ceremony music in full definition to drinks reception and your wedding breakfast. Microphone support for speeches so Dad's proud words and the Best Man's anecdotes are heard by all. Plus a friendly face to handle all announcements and introductions, keeping everyone informed and entertained throughout.

Additional touches...

To enhance your experience even further, a range of extra flourishes are available. Bring your venue to life with the now essential uplighting. Walls and room features highlighted in your colours. Need an extra PA system for music or speeches outdoors? No problem! Monogram projection? Let me get your names or initials beamed onto a prominent wall, with a custom gobo that is yoiurs to keep afterwards.

What is included in the wedding package?

In addition to expertly selected music to suit you and your guests, you can rely on top notch equipment set up in keeping with your venue. Plus unlimited consultancy throughout the entire process

How far in advance should I contact you?

Ideally, as soon as you have set the date! Be it 2 months or 2 years (or more!) away. I often get booked well in advance for weddings, so I strongly advise you get in touch ASAP

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?

Absolutely. If I don't have it, I'll do my best to source it for you in it's original and highest quality. Even if you have a foreign contingent, I'll be delighted to source that nation's big hits

What's your experience?

I have been a DJ since I was 18 in 1994. My experience now spans four decades. I have a lifelong interest in both music and everything electrical and lighting. The two combine as my dream job!

Do you have your own equipment?

Yes

Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?

Yes, to be fed and watered at weddings exceeding 5 hours please. Parking and suitable van access on site, and a safe and reliable supply of mains electricity ;-)

Can you travel?

Yes, generally, I cover the Home Counties. Midlands and the South East, but I'll gladly travel to your ideal venue to entertain you and your guests

Is there a charge for travelling?

Yes, travel is included for venues within a 1.5 hour drive of Oxford. The only extra cost would be where an overnight stay is required

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

No

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Alone

What is the length of time of the act?

An average evening performance is typically 4-5 hours with a midnight finish. However, timings are often specific to your individual timeline and venue licence

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

On average, I need an hour to 1.5 hours to set up for an evening disco, plus time to change. However, this depends on the amount of kit and lighting required and loading logistics at your venue

Do you do open-air acts?

Yes

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes

How do you charge extra time?

Extra time applies after midnight at £150 per hour. As a wedding can be a long day for many, I strongly advise ending on a high at midnight with all guests present

What are the forms of payment?

Payments at present are via bank transfer, backed by a full booking contract. An initial down payment is required to secure the booking, and the final balance is due 30 days before the date

Superb DJ. Highly recommend!

Tom is a lovely guy who puts a huge amount of thought and passion into providing you with a truly personalised service with no glitches. He is a true professional. He came and met us in advance, checked out the venue and did thorough advance planning.
On the night he read the room to perfection. Despite it being the hottest Saturday of the year and a very small wedding, the dance floor was never empty!
He is competitively priced and worth every penny.
If you book Tom for your special day, you definitely won’t be disappointed.
Thank you Tom for a fantastic party and also the photos and videos you sent us of the evening. So funny to see everyone doing their best dad dancing etc! #happymemories!

highly recommended!

Tom did a brilliant job for us at our wedding. He was really polite, friendly and communicative from beginning to end and went out of his way to accommodate our tastes and requirements, despite some of our choices being a bit unusual. I really appreciated his enthusiasm - he is obviously a man who loves his job. Would definitely recommend him to anyone.

What a great evening!

Tom is a real professional. We spoke with Tom a couple of times before our wedding and he listened to everything we said and was able to answer all of the questions we had and accommodate all of our wishes. The app was a great addition and allowed our guests and us to make requests. Tom arrived on time and set up without a hitch. He was great at judging the room and selecting appropriate songs for the mood. He was very competitively priced for what he offered. We would highly recommend Tom and Crossfade to anybody looking for a DJ. Thank you so much Tom for being such an integral part of our day, we had a blast!

Professional and brilliant

We found Tom on Hitched. We had a video call to meet him before agreeing to hire him as our DJ for our special day. He was professional and yet friendly throughout. He met us at our venue before the big day to check it all out and turned our wedding into a brilliant party/celebration in the evening, which was exactly what we wanted. Tom took the time to get to know our taste in music and delivered this perfectly on the night. He took requests from guests and a great time was had by all. Thanks Tom!

Absolutely Fantastic

Tom saved us after we had been let down by our DJ. He was brilliant and we wished we had used him from the start. He came back to us every time we had a question and was honest, timely, and very professional. The app to set up a playlist was a great idea as well! Tom the DJ-extraordinaire

From my very first interaction with Crossfade Disco, Tom went above and beyond to make the whole experience seamless. We had a phone call within hours of my first message and he talked me through all the options and coincidentally had played at our wedding venue many times before, which was reassuring. We met for a coffee to discuss things in more detail and make sure we were a good fit for each other and it was clear that Tom is passionate about his craft, flexible to cater for whatever kind of party you want and an all round good guy.

The party itself was brilliant. He was all set up ready to go, half an hour earlier than initially agreed and played an almost 6 hour set which had people on the dancefloor until the very end of the night. I would highly recommend Crossfade Disco to anyone who's trying to decide which DJ to use for their wedding.

Excellent and friendly service.

Could not recommend Tom more highly!

If you are looking for a wedding DJ in the Oxford area… look no further than Tom! From the moment we first spoke on the phone, to meeting him to chat music over a coffee, to the big day itself, Tom was a delight to deal with. A consummate professional but also just a thoroughly decent man - what more could you ask for?! We honestly could not recommend Tom more highly!

Fab, fab, fab!

Tom was absolutely excellent and we're delighted we found him and Crossfade disco for our wedding. Tom was incredibly helpful in the lead-up to the event, helping us with some bespoke elements - like a portable PA system for our outdoor ceremony and working with our live band - and then provided a perfect service for us as our evening DJ keeping the dancefloor jumping until the very last song. His selection of music was perfectly tailored to our party and everyone had a fabulous time. We'd hire Tom again in a heartbeat!

Tom of Crossfade will see you right for all your disco needs! and he is a perfect gent to boot!
We had an incredible wedding day which Tom helped us to tailor all of our entertainment from start to finish.
We had Tom for the whole day and he was absolutely brilliant!
Starting with our ceremony and breakfast Tom set up a smaller but powerful system to play all of the music we wanted to entertain our guests as they took their seats etc.
Going on into the reception Tom effortlessly switched out all of the equipment for the full on massive Disco rig and delivered a monster disco and epic time for all.
Tom will help you tailor everything you need and has so many options to bring to your disco/day.
Everything was seamless and effortlessly smooth, a perfect host for your wedding day.
We will always recommend Tom of Crossfade! Thanks Mate!

What an Amazing DJ!

Tom was fantastic from start of finish. He met us twice before our big day, organised a marvellous glittering dance floor and ordered a bespoke disc for projecting a monogram of our initials. Tom also coordinated seamlessly with the musicians we had playing and during his sets mixed the perfect compilation of our chosen tracks and his own, which meant the dance floor was never empty! We look forward to using Tom again at our 50th Wedding Anniversary! Chris & Lucy x

Absolutely Brilliant!!!!

I recently got married and I'm not one for the cheesy DJ and I wanted to choose alot of the music and have a classy feel to the night and Tom provided exactly that¬ He adapted to exactly what we wwanted, he was a pleasure to work with, and as well as being a lovely guy he is an exellent DJ who really helped make our day special. Not much to say except, AWESOME!

Not much to say except, AWESOME! Tom, you absolutely nailed it for our wedding, from the surprise first dance routine, to the final song and a cheeky encore. Although most of our guests were more interested in drinking at the bar, your great music choices could be heard from the courtyard and provided the perfect backdrop to our perfect day. From start to finish you have gone out of your way to tailor your services to what we wanted our day to look and sound like, and for that, Bee and I can't thank you enough. We would recommend you to anyone and everyone for any and all events in the area! We hope we are lucky enough to plan another big party at some point in the future so we can exploit your talents again. Thanks buddy, a 5 star rating really isn't enough!

Wedding - Faye and Ryan

Tom provided the perfect soundtrack to our wedding reception. We hardly stopped dancing and so many of our guests (of all ages) have commented on how great the disco was! The dancefloor was never empty and even some of the less keen dancers were throwing some shapes! (I think this was a good thing!)
The lighting was also fantastic and Tom also provided a cordless microphone for the speeches which was really helpful.
We would HIGHLY recommend Crossfade to anyone!
