Wow wow wow, Ian where do we even begin!
I wish everybody reading this could witness what you pulled off for our wedding. From the very first zoom meeting you listened to everything we said and really tried to understand us as individuals and as a couple. On the day you made every single person in that room feel alive. You worked with us to merge our two cultures (Iraqi and Irish) and included all the songs we desperately wanted to have played for our friends and family. You were the biggest hype man, the best BEST DJ and we could not have imagined a second of that evening without you there. The dry ice show, the confetti and the illuminated display were so spectacular during our first dance, everybody in the room was so impressed and we’ve had endless compliments on how fab you were. Ian, you were everything we have ever dreamed off, I hope the world can appreciate you the way we do. Words are simply not enough! I will be screaming about how incredible SO Discos are for a very very very long time. Thank you for making our wedding genuinely the best party we’ve ever been to!

We can’t put into words how grateful we are for Ian during our wedding day. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day of our lives. From the very start of the process Ian was responsive, flexible and made us feel at ease! We had zoom calls to walk through the day and to make sure he got in every little detail. I highly recommend getting the extras on offer. We had the video postbox, the DJ booth with the screen, after dinner games and the LOVE letters. This has allowed us to keep special and hilarious memories from the day, added more fun to the room and a bunch of laughs after the emotional speeches and even karaoke! Ian even mixed my walk down music LIVE on the day. During photos in the morning, he followed us round with drinks in hand to make sure we always had chance to have a sip…or gulp! Not only was he a fantastic DJ, but a wonderful master of ceremonies and our biggest cheerleader throughout the day! We have had wonderful feedback from all of our guests that Ian is not only fantastic DJ but also a LOVELY person!! If you want a DJ that does everything to an incredible standard…go to Ian. We cannot thank you enough! X

Ian was absolutely brilliant from start to finish and when above and beyond our expectations. Ian worked non stop through the day and night of our wedding and nothing was too much trouble his communication was outstanding. All our guests were commenting on how great he was and how he made it such a great night. We would highly recommend Ian! We can't thank you enough!

Cannot thank Ian enough for making our wedding day so special. From start to finish it was just absolutely perfect, he was so calm and chilled with the flow of the day which made me chilled. Our other supplier for the photobooth had a new emergency arrival so Ian insured our selfie booth still went ahead. He absolutely nailed the music and got everyone dancing (even my 95 year old grandad). It felt like a journey throughout the years of all our favourite songs. We had had the best time and I smiled from ear to ear all night. Ian, you’re amazing honestly! I’d highly reccomend and we will definitely be using So Discos again in the future.

Ian is a great DJ who is clearly passionate about what he does and provides lots of different options for weddings. We hired him after looking at lots of different DJ options because we were impressed with his competitive pricing, responsiveness and enthusiasm. We had an initial Zoom call to discuss the various services he could provide but we had a late ceremony time and wanted to keep everything simple, so went with the basic DJ set. We could have easily added other options and have no doubt that Ian would have delivered expertly on these too, but there was no pressure to do this which was appreciated. Ian provided us with a link to upload our playlist requests and we found the system really helpful and easy to use. We then had another call about 1 month before the wedding to recap on first/second/last dance choices. Ian was great at providing advice and suggestions for these based on his experience. On the day he arrived in plenty of time to ensure he was ready to set up as soon as the turnaround time started. His rustic setup fitted perfectly in our barn venue and looked great. He kept the tunes going all night (starting off with stiff competition against the pizza buffet!) and lots of our guests were on the dancefloor until the end. In addition to his DJ duties he took some great action shots which we were really grateful for. Ian is a great guy and we would have no hesitation recommending him to anyone looking for a quality DJ. Thanks again Ian!

We cannot thank Ian enough for DJing our wedding in July 2024. From the beginning of the day right through to the evening, he went above and beyond for us. He is the most friendly & fun guy! He really made our wedding day that extra bit special helping us plan and do our gender reveal too! If you’re looking for a DJ, Ian is one of the best. We had Ian for the whole day package and we will forever be recommending him, always quick to reply and help with song suggestions.
We also had the LED dance floor and visual booth, which had some of our photos going round, this was such a sweet touch and all our guests loved looking at the picture.
And the Mr & Mrs Game was great fun with all our guests.

We met Ian at the Knebworth Barns wedding fair and immediately knew he was the DJ for us. Ian arranged a really helpful call prior to our wedding party to discuss the run through of the evening. We had the rustic set up which was really lovely along with the awesome Magic Mirror which worked really well and was something different to a photo booth. Ian went above and beyond with putting together our amazing wedding photos reel to display on the TV screens, he even accommodated us with a last minute request to add our wedding highlights film. The set Ian put together was perfect, and was a great mix of music which had everyone on the dance floor all night, cannot recommend So Discos enough!

Couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to guide us through our special night as husband and wife! Ian took the time to listen to the different types of music we wanted, specific to our tastes. Every song played on the night matched the vibe of everyone on the dance floor and we couldn’t recommend him enough. Thanks for everything Ian!

We first met Ian at my sister’s wedding back in 2015 and were put in touch with him by her after we got engaged.

We booked him for the full day and it was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

Right from the very start Ian was attentive, professional and just an all-round great guy! He has such a calming nature which was just what we needed whilst planning our wedding, not forgetting on the big day itself!

The whole planning process was smooth and simple; we had periodic meetings with Ian over Zoom and he was never more than an email or Facebook message away if we had any questions.

The music was great and made for a really lovely atmosphere at certain times of the day, such as during the reception drinks when we’d given Ian free rein to choose the playlist for us. He definitely knew what sort of music was to our taste and he was not at all put-out when we requested specific versions of certain songs for our ceremony.

We really valued his suggestions, particularly putting out marriage advice cards for guests to complete (a choice few of which Ian later read out for our amusement), along with the ‘Mr & Mrs’ game which, although making us blush a little at times, had the whole room of 100 guests engaged and laughing!

Ian even made a toast to us, which we were not at all expecting; it was such a thoughtful gesture and one we truly appreciated.

At the end of the night a few family members and guests commented that they thought Ian was part of the venue staff as he was that attentive, organised and helpful! During the day itself he would regularly check in with us and made sure we were always topped up with prosecco! He even stepped in to cover bridesmaid duties at one point and was carrying the train of my wife’s dress for her!

Ian truly is more than "just a DJ” - he’s a DJ, entertainer, master of ceremonies and helping hand all rolled into one. He really does go above and beyond and makes you feel like your wedding is the most important of them all. He was certainly one of the main reasons our day went as smoothly and efficiently as it did.

We cannot recommend Ian and SO Discos highly enough!

We can’t thank Ian and his team enough! The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. From initial contact to all the planning discussions Ian was so easy to get hold of and gave such amazing advice and support. It truly felt like a bespoke experience! Which for what we paid is amazing value for money! Then we get to the day, Ian and the team literally made the day perfect. The ceremony music was exactly as we wanted, the day was filled with fun and games - in Ian you get a master of ceremony and games master as well as DJ.
The dance floor was buzzing and music was exactly as we had asked with all our tastes covered and some banging tunes to keep the party going right until the end.
Ian even took photos of our day too.
Oh and the magic mirror was some of the best money spent! Our guests loved it and we had all the fun of looking through the photos on the morning after our wedding.
Cannot recommend him enough!

What can I say? Ian made an a wonderful day even more fabulous with the all day package! Music was perfect from start to finish with all our guests busting a move til the very end of the night! We loved the magic mirror and the video postbox! It was so special to watch messages back from our guest the next day and totally worth it! The DJ booth and screen showing all of our photos of family and friends was also extra special and was the cherry on top of a perfect day!

Where do I start. Ian is so much more than a DJ. He's professional, caring, fun and goes over and above always. Punctual, so helpful and from his set up, magic mirror and brilliant digital postbox you will be hard pushed to find a better person for your special occasion. Ian you made a great day, wonderful.
