Recently shortlisted for series 3 of the Channel 4 TV show 'The Piano', Jamie is a trained solo pianist/keyboardist with a large range of mainstream covers drawn from diverse genres such as pop, indie, rock, blues, soul and classical. He has extensive performing experience gained over 37 years with 10 of those years in weddings.
More uniquely, he is also a music postgraduate who specialises in arranging and orchestration. He can arrange your favourite piece for any combination of instruments or band, to your exact requirements. One booking requested an orchestra & band version of Nina Simone's Feelin' Good. (nearly as big as Bublé, but not quite...) This arrangement also had to be easy to play for school age children. On the wedding day itself, Jamie was a music director as well as a pianist!
If you are looking for an expressive, refined pianist who is equally at one with providing sophisticated ambient background music, taking centre stage for an attention grabbing performance, or adding the personalised finishing touches to your special day, look no further. Please see all Jamie's reviews at https://lastminutemusicians.com/members/jamiegray.html - these will soon be transferred into this page.
Please contact Jamie for a friendly informal chat about any aspect of your wedding - whether you have any questions, special requests, dress codes, or something else!
