By the age of 18 Katie had completed her ABRSM exams in singing, piano and flute. Throughout her childhood she participated in choirs, amateur dramatic groups, pantomimes (S&J Productions) and semi-professional shows with stage productions at the Regent Theatre.
Katie achieved a BA with Honours in Music & Drama at the University of Birmingham. She went on to train at the American Musical Theatre Academy of London (AMTA) specialising in Musical Theatre before turning professional in 2008.
She is a classically trained singer and her foundations were built through opera and musical theatre. However her vast experience has seen Katie perform in upbeat party bands, corporate events, weddings and easy listening acoustic events. Her talent and experience has given Katie a very versatile repertoire.
Katie has worked as the lead vocalist in touring production casts in Mallorca (ShowTeam), Turkey (TED Entertainment Group) and P&O Australia (GrayBoy Entertainment) along with touring pantomimes across the UK.
From 2015-2017 Katie worked onboard P&O Cruises flag ship MV Britannia as a vocalist in the party band ‘Pulse’. This was a very versatile role entertaining passengers for up to 2 week cruises which included songs from party classics, Rock, 70/80s, themed nights, acoustic sets and Motown which Katie was brought up on and remains one of her favourite genres of music.
Later Katie accepted the role to both host and be the vocalist for MV Britannia’s ballroom where she sang both modern and classic music. This also included performing for events hosted by the famous TV show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
Katie regularly conducts corporate events which have included ‘Glamour of Paris’ at Windsor Race Course (FAMOUS) and ‘The Roaring 20s’ for Best Parties Ever at Milton Keynes (Gravity Live).
More recently Katie has established her roots back in the UK and performs now for private/corporate events, weddings, function bands, singing waiter gigs, acoustic gigs and her cabaret acts which she has done so for audiences of thousands. Katie is also a member of the female trio group Glimmer (FAMOUS) and performs Dua Rules (Pure Entertainment Group) which is the leading Dua Lipa tribute act in the UK.
