About

Katy James is a multi-award-winning wedding singer from Leeds, West Yorkshire. She is also part of a four-piece vocal group with the show ‘A Night At The Musicals’ and performs in care homes with her own show, Wartime Melodies. Since 2016, she has been the lead vocalist for P&O Cruises and has landed many a theatre role, including Cinderella in Into the Woods and the title character in tours of Jack and the Beanstalk and Sleeping Beauty.

Katy is able to perform a wide variety of music genres and themes and is more than happy to personalise her set list to suit any event. With over 15 years of experience and training from the London School of Musical Theatre, she is available to grace your occasion as a soloist all over the UK.

What is included in the wedding package?

Everything can be tailored to suit your event. Ceremony Only - £200 Ceremony & Drinks Reception - £320 Ceremony, Drinks Reception & Evening Entertainment - £600 Evening Entertainment Only - £400

How far in advance should I contact you?

Would need at least 24 hours notice for a last minute booking. Otherwise I would always advise booking as far in advance as possible in order to secure your date

Repertoire:

Very wide repertoire covering all decades, and including easy listening, motown, musical theatre. Popular requests include 'How Long Will I Love You', 'You Are The Reason' and 'Thinking Out Loud'

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?

Absolutely! As long as I am given enough notice I will always try to learn any requests

What's your experience?

I have been a professional singer for over 15 years. I have sung at a variety of venues and events, and have won numerous awards and competitions. I have also been Lead Singer for P&O cruise ships

Do you have your own equipment?

Yes

Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?

Yes, access to a plug socket for equipment set up and to be undercover/inside

Can you travel?

Yes, yorkshire Lancashire Will travel up to 2 hours from West Yorkshire

Is there a charge for travelling?

Yes, extra price charged outside of 45 mile radius from home base. Enquire for prices

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Yes

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Alone

What is the length of time of the act?

Will vary depending on what you require. Ceremony can include guests entering and exiting, and the signing of the register. Drinks reception usually 45 minutes, and evening sets will vary

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

In terms of set up on the day, I would need about an hour to get set up and sound check

Do you do open-air acts?

Yes

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes

How do you charge extra time?

Extra time is worked out depending on how long the set is. Please enquire for more information

What are the forms of payment?

Payment is via bank transfer for both the deposit and the remaining balance. Deposit must be paid to secure the booking, and the remaining balance must be paid at least 7 days before the event

Outstanding wedding singer

What a fantastic wedding singer Katy is!! Just an amazing voice of an angel. Every single one of our guests were blown away with her talent and presence . She made our wedding very memorable .so if you're wanting your wedding to be very memorable this is the girl you need to book

Wedding Singer

Katy sang for us at the evening reception of our wedding. Her voice was absolutely stunning and she had the friendly personality to match. We still get compliments from our guests now on how amazing she was. I would 100% recommend her to anyone who would like an incredible voice to top off their special day!

A lovely touch to our wedding reception

We really loved having Katy perform a set at our wedding. I was actually very last minute with our song choices and Katy managed to include them all in with no hesitation - Such a beautiful voice and our guests were very impressed. Thanks again Katy!

Fantastic wedding singer

Katy was a fantastic wedding singer at our spring wedding. She learnt and sang the song we requested in the church and entertained whilst we signed the registry. She had no issues with anything we asked and went above and beyond.

Engagement Party

Katy sang for us at our Engagement Party. She is wonderful, polite, and an extremely talented performer. Communication was excellent, and on the day Katy got on and set up without us even noticing. She was extremely professional and all of our guests commented on her fantastic singing! We requested certain songs, and Katy blew us away with them. It made the whole experience extra special. We would recommend Katy to anybody looking to book a singer for their Wedding / Engagement.

Amazing!!!

Hired katy to perform at my aunties 90th birthday party. I wanted a specific style (40s/50s/60s) and katy was able to cater for this which was fantastic! She even dressed up vintage which just made it that extra special! needless to say the performance was enjoyed by all. She was very friendly and professional and we feel she enjoyed herself as much as we all did. Would definitely hire again! Thank you so much Katy!
