Klay Dumas-Copas is an MOBO-winning pianist, who, since being presented with the award in 1998 for Best Jazz Act, he has worked with many other reputable and talented performers such as Roy Ayers and guitarist Martin Taylor M.B.E. He has recorded three solo albums and is currently playing music from the Great Depression, or from the 20s and 30s, more specifically songs by composer and entertainer Billy Mayerl as well as George Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue.

His act can take up to one and a half hours. Ideally, the piano will be provided by you or the venue that you have chosen, in either case, the piano must be well-maintained. Otherwise, an electronic piano and amplification will be provided to your event.

How he works

In addition to being influenced by Billy Mayerl (stride piano) and George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue (Classical), he is more that willing to play requested music such as Jazz standards, Latin, and pop classics. Usually, he will take some time before his show to set up equipment unless it is already set up for him.
